“You are certainly portraying me in a lovely light, Kody.” Sylvie pursed her lips, “I know you have to be angry and want revenge…” Sylvie calmly spoke, her voice crisp yet dreadful. “...You have to know that I ever let you free, right?”
“Taini…should you be..” Casey went silent wheched Sylvie’s finger go up. “Sorry, this is your thing.” Casey turned and resumed listening to the television and did her best to tu the tinuing versation with Sylvie and Kody.
Nodding their head in uanding, Kody gave Sylvie a gentle smile. “I have always sort of known, Sylvie.” Sitting up so that they faced Sylvie pletely, Kody went on. “You’ve felt it before, I am sure with Amos. Something is always there, a shadow of what happened before or what was erased. Almost like hearing music that you’ve sworn you’ve heard before. It isn’t bad, you just know.”
Mindlessly talking, Casey kept her attention focused on the s. “Déjà vu.”
“Right.” Kody ughed, “I couldn’t think of the word, thanks Casey.” They watched Casey wave off the ent before resuming their little speech with Sylvie. “I have no issue stayihered to you, Sylvie. I wouldn’t dream of doing anything spiteful even if I weren’t.”
Spotting the ed look in Kody’s eyes, Sylvie spoke up. “That’s settled, I will just keep you then.” She winked and smiled, “Though, it looks like there is more on your mind. Lucy, right?”
Nodding slowly, Kody affirmed what Sylvie’s suspi was. “Yes. I came here in part to settle things between you and I, and also find out how I truly felt about her.” With a slight pause, Kody ughed and shook their head. “It’s simple really, I love her. I don’t want tet her… and until a bit ago, I was in love with you.” They shrugged, “I know why now, so I am tent.” Out of nowhere, Kody stood up and bounced like they had won first prize at a sce fair. “Lead…oh my god, I am so stupid. Lead…lead…” Kody kept announg and ran into the office more.
“Okay.” Sylvie ughed a pying footsie with Casey. “I felt the secret would eat Kody up, twist them further. Now that I know they are at peace with me staying in trol, we have almost nothing to worry about.”
Kissing her way over to the other side of the sofa, Casey left little prints along Sylvie's bare arms. “Good girl, you have redeemed yourself a little.” Casey flicked the blue pstic bows that adorned Sylvie’s hair. “I only have a semi-bad girl now.” Pressing her rge breasts seductively into Sylvie’s chest, Casey purred once more and loved it as Sylvie’s full moon eyes gzed over. “Mmm, I think you like me.”
“Only a little and what are you up to?” Sylvie wondered and traced her fingers along Casey’s . “I know you areed, I would know that in a sed.”
Tug herself into Sylvie’s arms, Casey gave her lentle kiss on the lips and turned around. “That my love, all of that.” Casey motioo the ongoing news footage, “While I am excited to get this resolved so I spend more time in your lovely arms…or between ys…” Casey ughed, “...I don’t know that I live a b life now.” She half-turo Sylvie, “You’ve made me an adrenaline junky.”
“Ha, Ha.” Sylvie snipped and shut off the television. “You were that long before me. I seem to recall some lovely vampire named Vivienne saving you from a certain drummer boy? Then you told me you stayed in a burning hotel, staked a bunch of vampires…” Sylvie giggled, “...Even stomped your way into a mage’s abode.”
Everything that Sylvie had said was in fact true and Casey let the memories flood back over her for a couple of minutes. “Okay, yeah. You have me there.” She ughed and nibbled Sylvie’s neck lightly. “Although this has beeimes more fun.” She looked into Sylvie’s quarter-moon eyes, “...Let’s never be truly b, Sylvie. We do whatever…”
“You sound more and more like your mother, love.” Sylvie rolled Casey’s copper-strawberry locks in her fingers. “We still have this lovely adveo resolve.”
Kody reappeared and cleared their throat. “I believe that I help. I have a pn.” Kody sat ba their swivel chair and handed Sylvie a list of items. “How fast Twilight Tonight fashiohings? Or acquire them, I think I make what I pn on using.” Kody smiled, “I pn to use the ohing that has never failed me, Sylvie. Steam.”
Quickly taking a picture of the list and sending it to Cisco, Sylvie looked back at Kody. “I am sure they get it here soon enough, you get all this ready before nightfall?”
“Assuming that I get the items here in the hour or two? Yes.” Kody looked up, deep in thought. “Yes. I am certain that I .”
Cross-refereng the little bit that she uood from the schematics for the brad Kody’s little diagram, Sylvie made an educated guess. “Are you going to use the radioactive metal as the power source for this brace?”
“It is a touch more plex than that, but you have the general idea.” Kody smiled and spun happily in the chair. “I fot how much fun this pce was, Sylvie.”
Normally tent with a small expnatio came to anything Kody was referring to, this time Sylvie was unsure about the whole process. “Having a design isn’t the same thing as having a w model.” She paused, “We still don’t have a way to get the element out of the structure.”
“Fuck.” Casey murmured, “Yeah, I think I know how Kody pnned oing it out.” She looked up into Sylvie’s eyes as the irises shifted to small slivers of white. “We are blood-matched, Taini.”
Suddenly dawning on the elder vampire, Sylvie leaned her head against Casey’s. “Oh man, I knew you were going to say that.” Sylvie looked back at Kody, who’s look told her everything she o really know. “I am the one going i I?” It was the shaking of the other tire’s heads that made Sylvie shiver in thought. “Alright Kody, let’s hear the pn. All of it so I don’t screw this up.”
