Robin stood in the Titan’s briefing room in front of Chief Perez, Detective Sayre, Department head Bell, and Beast Boy,
“38 year old Jarvis Tetch, also known as The Mad Hatter, mother is Marion Tetch, father unknown, Marion was a successful child therapist, when Jarvis was 9 his mother was arrested when it was found that she was using mind control on her patients, Jarvis went to live with his 19 year old aunt, Beatrice Tetch and her boyfriend, surprisingly they treated him well, even from his own reports there was no abuse, from either of them” Robin began.
“When Jarvis was a teenager he took an unwelcome interest in a girl from his school, named Alice, she later disapeared and was never found, it took 12 years for him to be officially connected to her case, he’s been connected to dozens of missing childrens cases, he tends to go for unhappy, rebellious teenagers with few friends and a poor home life, his preferred age range is 14 to 18 with his youngest confirmed victim being 12, and his oldest was 19, but most are 15 or 16” Robin took a long deliberate breath.

“Once he had his victim he uses a modified version of his mothers mind control technique, with the intention to bring them into his fantasy, that being that he is the Mad Hatter, and they are Alice, once they’re under his control he sexually assualts them, how long this lasts is dependent on how long it takes him to lose his temper, evidence has shown that this can be a couple of weeks, to a few minutes, and if he thinks he’s losing he will kill his victim, the first time Batman confronted him he slashed the throat of a girl he was holding, so we have to be careful about how we approach this” Barbara took Dick's place at the front of the room, she used a remote to switch the photo on the screen behind her to a picture of Alice.
“This is Prophet, her real name is unknown but she answers to Alice, her abilities could complicate any rescue efforts, she carries 2 spirits with her, both of whom are always fighting for control of her, the first is a hostile spirit, who goes by Vav, she brings out an inhuman speed and strength in Alice, when we attempt to rescue her, look at her eyes, if they’re jet black, do not approach, that’s the only telltale sign we know of that proves that Vav is in control, the 2nd spirit identifies itself as Raven, this spirit doesn’t seem immediately threatening, unless she believes Alice is in danger, if Raven is in control her eyes will glowing red and a second set of eyes will appear near her temples, if you must approach, do so in a non-threatening manor” Batgirl paused, giving them a minute to process this information, “We need to find Alice” She said, her voice on edge, and desperate.
