Even though the Scavengers were in some ways allies with the liberties. It was, however, a loose alliance. The scavengers were just given weapons in exchange for attacking. But when they came inside the city…they couldn’t care less about the liberties. In fact, some of them were being attacked by their own, as they were all greedy. So while the Liberties were taking key points. Scavengers were left to their own devices. This worked as having them do random things was perfect in spreading out the Avalonian forces. Particularly well with one person.
“Dam didn’t think that another shadow dweller would show up,” Gilius said as he then tended to his injuries. During the operation, he and his troops were quietly moving along. Things were going perfectly. The Liberties and Scavengers were all distracting everyone while Gilius could infiltrate the intelligence center with ease. Everything went according to his plan until Gilius walked into a dark alley, feeling an odd yet familiar sensation. Fortunately, with his instinct,s he was able to react in time. But because of the surprise, he was still injured. At that moment, he quickly retreated as he couldn’t fight back. Using his shadow, he instantly ran away, leaving everyone behind. Many of his soldiers saw what he did but they took it to their graves soon after.
Leaving his comrades to be fed to the lion, Gilius couldn’t mourn their death. But thank them for luring the shadow dweller away. Feeling his wounds, he slowly felt them heal as it took longer than he had expected. “Ha…I have no time to heal. Guess it's time to do it.” Looking around, he then put his hand on the power generator. Pulling down the lever, he then started his operation as he looking at the information center. This wasn’t the original plan, but he needed to accomplish this mission.
At the intelligence center, the workers were securing the location as a means to protect their data. This houses all the information that was shown on the city. All the things people do on the internet and in real life. With all the data here, it was imperative that no enemy took any piece of it. Fortunately, the good news someone was planning to get rid of all of it.
“Make sure everything is secure. We can’t let them attain any of the data if they were to attack this base.” Locking everything in rapid succession, everyone was moving from one screen to the next, making sure everything was protected. All those who work for the Government are well-trained and prepared for any situation. Even though many thought this wouldn’t occur, they nevertheless performed what needed to be done.
“We have secured sixty per cent of our data.” As they were performing their work, they noticed something amiss. Dun Dun Dun. There was a giant slam that was ringing throughout the building. Bing the lights soon started to flicker bit by bit as everyone notice the computers started to respond slowly. Soon just like that everything went dark.
“What is going on??” Everyone then got their weapons with lights.
“Power is out. The emergency power should be running up soon. Everyone guard the door!!!” On high alert, the manager prepared for the worst as he then grabbed his gun. Gathering around the door as they prepared to fight. Everyone who works in the government is taught to shoot a gun so that if they need to defend a strategic area before Diviners arrive, they can. But as they surrounded the door, they anticipated someone barging in. Ting thump ting. The sounds of a person hitting the door. Poom poom, waiting for the door to break, many had their trigger finger at the ready. The door that was supposed to withstand rockets was now somehow getting pulverised by something. Everyone was thinking this was a large siege weapon. They never thought it would be done by just a single person.
As the door quietly opened, a shadow appeared. Bang bang, everyone shot the shadow, as by the time they emptied, he had fallen to the ground. Reloading, they then check to see if there was more. But no one was there. As they then confirm the body.
“Just one who was it?”
“I don’t know, but it…Wait” There was a tag on it and to their surprise it was…. It showed an identification card to enter the premises. It was…their manager!! They then look behind to see that he was the furthest one back. How did he end up out there?
“What is going on??”
“Stand close, we need to make sure that everyone is accounted for.” He said as they then felt something on their head. Something was dripping on them.

“What is that?” Wanting to brush it away whatever it was it would let go as it caused more problems. It even blinded some of them as it got to some of their eyes. Eventually, some of them were recognizing the smell it was giving off. Wanting to find out what it was, a flashlight lit on it to find out what was dripping on them was..it was blood.
“Ahhh!!” Someone screamed as they saw his comrade had blood all over his face. They then look up. “Ahhh that’s!!!” It was one of their comrades who was impaled on the ceiling. How did they not notice that?
“What is going on!!!” They all panicked just to look around. They were surrounding themselves in a circle.
“Hey, stop tapping me, we need to focus.”
“Shut up, and I’m not touching you.”
“Something is hitting my feet.” They felt something behind them, but weren’t paying attention as they thought they were touching each other. However, then a voice came.
“Sorry to bother you all…” Hearing that noise, they were surprised but. Slit. Showing the knife, they all realised that their necks were cut as they were all bleeding before all collapsing. In the middle stood one man as he retracted his knife. “But I need you all to sleep.”
The light then opened as Gilius quickly rushed to the computers. Seeing the computers back on, he quickly opened the screens as he was then inputting a chip he got out from the shadows. Everything seemed to be good before the computer noticed a virus.
“Warning, warning Virus detected….” Was the last thing it said as all the screen was turning red. Everything was now in his control. “Security restriction removed, complete access to all information.”
“Search information on all women at the age of 25.”
“Confirmed all women aged 25 in the city.” It might sound like he was trying to look up a dating website in a advance scale. But he is far from being interested in women right now.
“Erase all information in that age group and their history. Erase all information about them, including their tracking device.” Gilius said.
“Confirm deleting process, please stand by.” The computer then started to destroy files and anything associated with what he said. Gilius was then relieved. As data was starting to be erased, Gilius then got his holophone as he then was going to call someone. However…
“So this is what you’re doing.” Hearing that, Gilius then created a sword as he slashed behind him. Clang lord behold, someone was there as he finally appeared. Walking with silent steps, someone pops out of the shadows, not trying to sneak up but to be rather polite about it.
“So you were a shadow dweller. Didn’t think the order would hire a traitor?” Gilius said as he looked at him. The guy was a tall, bald, muscular, dark-skinned man with a chained earring connected to his lip. Compared to the modern day wear, he was wearing a very old style red black dashiki robe. “I thought shadow dwellers would kill themselves before betraying the clan.” Shadow dwellers are all a single organisation much like the Diviners. However, although all the families are on one side, it doesn’t mean they all work together. There are many different clans that make up the shadow dwellers. All from around the world as opposed to the Diviners, who hold themselves to one single place. Having members across the world as the shadow dwellers aren’t keen on being in a single location where they could be destroyed in one fell swoop. Especially against their Nemesis the diviners, who could kill all in one place. Since they are spread out, they have missions everywhere. This included Gilius and Othello with both having their own mission. The fact that they know each others as shadow dwellers yet don’t know each other is common, as it is used to help prevent information from leaking if anyone were to be captured. Othello, however seems to have failed his mission.
“Yes, it has been a while since I last saw a shadow dweller such as myself. Name is Othello. And I didn’t betray. Just chose a better side.”
“Well, it was unfortunate that you are on my bad side.” Gilius then created a small dagger as they exchanged in close combat. Othello pulled his scimitar as he instantly countered.
“Then be honoured to be killed by a fellow clansman.” Boasting his strength, it seemed as though Othello was the stronger of the two. Gilius then looked at the computer as it was still deleting, so he had to stall for the time being. Sling unfortunatel,y Othello didn’t let that happen at all. “You think I will let you do as you please.” Hitting the computer, it soon stopped everything.
“Warning: warning deleting process has stopped.” With it damaged, it caused Gilius to be a bit agitated by that move. With no time to fix the computer, he had to the next best thing. Leave.
“Dam get out of my way.” Creating a few daggers, Gilius ran at Othello. With a direct attack, Othello did a downwards strike. But Gilius evaded as he was trying to attack from the side of the huge body. Despite his large frame, Othello was nimble as he block it with ease. “Damn!!” Gilius then sped up as he circled around while throwing more daggers. Then he found a chance only to have Gilius summon his sword through his robes as he decided to take the fight a bit seriously.
“Please…you think that works.” Othello then spun his swords as he deflected all of them before then slashing at Gilius. Blocking it in time was the only thing that went well. Gilius was still blown away, hitting a large screen before falling down. “Speed is important. But strength is also needed.” Flustered Gilius felt like beating Othello was a daunting task. But instead of running, he took a stand as he felt this mission was more than his life. Creating more daggers, Gilius then charged again.
“Here I come!!!!”
