Shes a companion

“We diviners have a long life so marriage between a 100 year old and twenty-six year old is.....” Karma then understood. But still the idea that your love is not born yet was taken out of context by a far. That is like three generations. So don't mention her age or any for that matter. Leonora then helps her try to make sense of it. For most people in modern century, it was uncommon for such an age gap. But for Diviners and the old timers who have lived for so long before modern times, the rules haven't changed. And it was not a rule even most Avalonians follow either, making age gap very trivial. Leonora herself, who has read and heard about this, doesn't seem to mind it at all as long as they were happy. Well, the keyword was happy as she was still wondering that from Leonardo's side.

“Oh.” Karma then turns as she then looked at them, understanding the bond that they are trying to share. “You two are perfect!!!”

“Aren't we!!!” Angela asserted, despite Leonardo's refusal, locking arms with him as she was gripping it rather too tight. So tight it was enough for Leonardo to clench his teeth in pain. Karma then realised... she was dangerous. Especially in love. So, not talking anymore, Leonora decided to talk.

“So now that you are home, does that mean Noah and Julius are here?” Before, Noah used to come visit when he was young so it was no surprise that Leonora knew about Noah. It was a few years ago when Julius and Angela came along as well so Leonora, despite not being a part of the order would spend time with them occasionally. The three are also the few who were willing to spend time with Leonora, whom many view as a bad omen.

“Oh my, I thought he would have told you when he had landed.” Leonora was then confused and so was Karma.

“Why is that?” Karma was wondering about the question along with the siblings. Which Angela then smiled as she didn't spoil the happy news.

“Well then I'm in for a treat.” The door then opened as three walked into the building. One was hurrying in as the others walked in rather calmly. Leonora was first to notice one of them as she had been friends with him for a while. Also the nicest one of the three, Noah. Following along, Leo and Faust, who were walking slowly questioned why he was in such a rush. Faust was however confident about the answer Leonora was going to give. Especially since of course he has been studying women.

“Leonora!!! Good you are here. I have something to say!!!! Everyone was surprised as it was rather loud. Well except Angela as she was gripping Leonardo tight.

“Oh hey Noah!!! Uhm glad to see you....?” Leonora was being polite as she was wondering what was going on. He was running so fast, she thought there was an emergency. But why run to her, did she do something?

“I want to tell you something but..” He was trying to keep it private but someone decided to interrupt.

“Did you guys have fun while I was gone?” Faust said as he was walking next to him

  “Hey Leonora and Leonardo.”

“Dad...Faust, what's going on?” With so many people gathering around it seemed like this was like an event. Leonora was even more confused because she seemed to be the main event. Something that she is rarely ever a part of when it comes to family gatherings.

"Don't worry about it. Let me ask you an important question: Do you want to go with me or do you want to follow Faust? Because...

“I will go with Faust of course..” Hearing that Angela, Leonardo and Noah were surprised as another person came in. Without a single hesitation, Leonora gave an answer that was all rather surprising. Noah knew Leonora for the longest time. To say no meant that she was closer and trusting of Fausto than Noah.

“Huh?” Fausto was saying as he was shocked by the answer too.

“Ha..ha....I finally found you Angela..you know....." Coming in Julius was tired as he finally found everyone. He then looked to see an awkward silence. Looking at Noah dejected and Angela shocked, he made a good guess as to what happened. “Oh dang it. I miss the rejection!!!”

“Can you say that again..” Shocked by the answer Noah was thinking this was a dream. It almost cause him a heart attack as he was holding himself from falling. Wanting to make sure Leonora was for sure with her decision he looked at her face. Her face showed no waver as she looked committed to her decision.

“Yeah I will follow him. Is there something wrong with it?”

“But why?!!!!!” Noah yelled as he had been nice and treating her so well for a long time. Yet she hasn't known him for less than a month.

"Uhm because we have a lot in common." Leonora said. She thought it was quite funny as she was winking at Faust while giving the keyboard gesture. Revealing a smile, it would seem she was rather happy with Fausto. Noticing that gesture, Faust couldn’t really care about it as he knew all too well it was for the other soul.

“For once, your gaming has made a difference,” Faust said.

“Gaming is an art, okay,” Fausto tried to say. But Faust didn't care.

“But he said you are his test subject.” Noah was trying to provoke her. Yet unbeknownst to everyone, Leonora didn’t seem to mind it.

“I am....I'm okay with it. Compared to what I was called before, it was a lot better.” Leonora can recall how every diviner in the past would call her unkind names before. And thinking it was Fausto, she didn’t think those words were that cruel. And you good

“Are you sure???? If this is what you want, I can't interfere. You won't even be married during this time?” Leo was surprised about it as well. Hearing that Leonora was actually happy.

“Really!!! Then that is perfect!!” She then rushed to Faust's side. Showing everyone her happiness was a surprising turn of events. “I’m okay with that. Thinking about it now, I'm the first one to experience it. I mean if I live, I have time for marriage later. There is no need to worry about it if I'm dying.” The way she put it didn't really sound right as though she was saying she was giving her first time to somebody. It really did sound a bit on the awkward side. Nevertheless, it seems like she chose Faust or rather Fausto, over Noah.

“But…” Noah was trying to present something to her but it seems like it's not necessary. Or rather didn't seem to matter anymore. A beautiful ring that he had so painstakingly designed and crafted for him.

“Ah looks like Noah won’t get his wed…” Just as Julius was going to say that word…Boom.. Angela blasted him quickly.

“Oh sorry, my hand slipped. Anyways, continue…” Completely ignoring what just happened, everyone went back without even recalling the poor soul that got blasted.

“So you want to be with this man. Even when Karma is his companion?” Leo said in a rather direct way. It was like he was saying that he was entrusting her to a cheater.

“Companion?” Karma was saying as she was confused about it. Leonardo was irk by that as he seemed to understand what that meant. Others were wondering what he meant by that. Faust smiled as this was really causing a scene. Luckily, he was going to make things spicier. Especially since he knew the one thing Leonora carried that Fausto gave would make everyone realise how close Leonora is to Fausto.

“Sir Leo. Although I say she is my patient, I won’t treat her unfairly. Leonora.” Faust said as she looked at him. “Can you please show them your necklace?” Leonora then smiled as she showed it. Seeing it they realise this was no cheap accessory.

“Volia!! What do you think?” Leonora was even modelling for it as she was wanting to show the gift Fausto gave. Not Faust, just to inform. Even Angela was so amazed.

“Wow what necklace is this? The crystal is so beautiful it's like looking at the star.” She was then showing it to Leonardo and Leo, who was the most amazed.

“She actually wore an accessory?” Both of them said it like it was a rare thing, which Julius wanted to ask.

“Hmm..what is so special about that? Noah has bought plenty of jewelry for her right?” Yet then Faust answered.

“But that is my sincerity to her that she reciprocated.” Faust then got closer as he grabbed her closer to him. “I wonder if you really think there are no feelings in the relationship.” Click was the sound of a gun being pointed at Faust's face.

“Get your stupid face off away from her…” Getting ready to pull the trigger, Noah didn’t seem hesitant to shoot Faust. It startled everyone as it was a rare moment for Noah to be this hot-tempered. Usually, he was the calmest one out of anybody.

“Noah, you have to behave.” Leo warned as he unsheathed his sword a bit. Even Angela and Julius were taken back by Leo’s simple movement. The two were well aware of his reputation. Though they might be older than him. They themselves do not wish to feel his wraith.

“I’m sorry but I think he is lying about something. We shouldn’t let Leonora get close to him. And this guy is human. There is no way two humans can protect her.” Faust would like to add something to that but it wasn’t getting anywhere so instead….

“Well I just happen to be just two of a kind. So how about proving you wrong?” Faust said which raised some eyebrows. Faust then pointed at the crate next to Karma as everyone looked in curiosity. “We shall compete in this arena and whoever wins gets to claim the princess,” Faust said as he was acting like a knight and shining armor. It created some humour with Leonora as she giggled. Noah however seemed to be a little ticked about that to be honest.

“Are you underestimating us??” Noah felt berated as he showed his badge. He was an elite diviner who had destroyed many rebel bases. When compared to what Fausto accomplished as a doctor, it pales in comparison. As Menace thought that comparison is reversed. Faust then pointed at Leonardo, who was puzzled.

“I will take that guy as my teammate. Will it be fair then?” Faust knew that he and Karma could take the four on without powers, but didn’t want to show his powers. After all, it wasn’t wise to show them how strong he really was or reveal a lot more than necessary.

“No!!” Leonardo and Angela both said as Leonardo didn’t want to be part of it.

“Yeah then I will have to go against him,” Angela said.

“I mean….. for the sake of my sister. I will join.” Leonardo said as he heard that. Angela then got mad, but Leonardo distanced himself from her to side with Leonora. “As a family, I should respect my sister's decisions.”

“Ahhhh, thank you!! You do love me!!” Leonora clasped her hands in admiration as she didn’t think her brother really cared for her that much. It was the first time he openly showed such support. Even Leo was surprised as well.

“You bet!!” Leonardo screamed as he was relieved to fight against Angela, especially for the fact that he might have a chance to fight with Karma, since he would rather be teammates with Karma than Angela.

“Seeing we have an even amount, what do you say?” Faust challenge as he was aware of who he was dealing with. Julius of Tristan, who come from the family of strategist and generals. And Angela of Lamorak who are rather known for their brawn than brains. Finally, there was Noah of Agavain, whose family are born of skilled warriors and craftiness in battle. Even without their powers, they were strong opponents. In fact, even with Karma’s physical strength, they wouldn't be able to best them. Against Faust unfortunately they might need no pun intended more years.

“Very well. I guess it's time to see how good you are, Leonardo. Also, I get to show Leonora how weak you are.” Noah said as Julius and Angela stood by his side.

“Well I guess I did come in at the right time.”

“Let's see how good Karma is.” Julius and Angela weren’t really happy but had to help support Noah's love life either way.

“Why am I his companion?” Karma said as she was still thinking about that. She was still wondering about that during the entire conversation.

“Am I really a princess?” Leonora asked as she was thinking off-topic as well. It was the first time she was ever treated like this. So she didn’t know how to feel about this. Leo was in the background, a bit upset as he was sad that his little girl wore someone else’s gift but not his.
