Chapter 74
Far from Keith, on the easternmost edge of the Blockade, at the border of the Elemental’s territory, a massive battle between demons and Elementals was underway.
Although outnumbering the Elementals several times over, the demons struggled to break past the Elemental’s frontline. Defending the Blockade for decades resulted in the Elementals being far better equipped and higher leveled than the demons on average.
Additionally, the fusion skill of the Elementals proved to be the biggest obstacle.
The titan forms the Elemental’s four legions took on combined their mana pools, as well as greatly increased their defensive and offensive capabilities. They were machines of war, with each titan easily capable of taking on a hundred opponents without fear.
For this battle, the Elementals relied heavily on their trademark fusion skill.
As far as the eye could see, titans in the form of water, fire, earth, and wind rampaged across the battlefield. They were so powerful that even simple punching and kicking held enough force to wipe out the health of a level 800 demon. Their skills were even more deadly.
Under the titan's immense power, the demons scurried around like frightened rats.
If not for the monster horde taking up half of the Elemental’s army's focus, they would’ve steamrolled the demon army. Only Wrath, Greed, and Gluttony posed a significant threat, but they were busy attacking the Elemental’s capital and keeping Torg, Flynn, and Isabel at bay.
Powerful as the Elemental army may be, fighting on two fronts spread their forces thin.
Slowly, they began retreating, preparing to abandon the Blockade.
Just then, Ska’dur appeared far above in the sky, his beard and hair fluttering in the wind.
For a moment, he observed the battle below.
The fact that the Elemental army, composed of just a third of their total forces, could put up a fight against the full might of the demon army made him solemn. Ska’dur knew that the other two-thirds of the Elemental’s forces were either defending the Blockade or currently holed up in the capital.
He sighed, thinking that the Innate Nation still had a long way to go.
The Elementals were the greatest obstacle if the Innate Nation wanted to become the Grandsky Realm’s ruler. Until the Innate Nation became strong enough, they needed the Elementals to continue shielding them from the demons and Tyranus.
To that end, Ska’dur couldn’t let the Elemental army below him fall, not to mention they paid the Innate Nation handsomely for reinforcements.
Behind Ska’dur, a Silverswift Skyship V2 came into view.

As his War Array powered up, Ska’dur equipped his growth-type gauntlets and converted his physical attack power to the fire element.
He took a boxing stance, breathed in, then punched.
BANG!
A sonic boom rang out as a flaming fist shot forward.
Before it could travel far….
BANG!
Dozens more followed in its wake.
BANG!
Hundreds.
BANG!
Thousands.
In seconds, flaming fists covered the sky, raining down from above.
They traveled faster than the speed of sound and hit the ground before the majority of the people fighting below could react.
BOOM!
Each fist released an explosive force far surpassing a level 1,000 Fireball.
They were more like miniature meteors.
Craters formed everywhere as Ska’dur kept punching, his arms moving so fast they distorted the space around him.
The growth-type gauntlets he acquired from the celestial grade dungeon had completely transformed Ska’dur’s fighting style. With them, each kick or punch could become a devastating spell. Best of all, instead of consuming mana, they took up an insignificant, miniscule portion of his stamina. After all, it was simply an ordinary punch. And when combined with his unique Life Energy, the results were glorious.
Ska’dur’s Flaming Fist Barrage targeted the monster horde.
Like a tireless machine, Ska’dur kept up the Flaming Fist Barrage for several minutes.
Under his assault, the monster's numbers swiftly dwindled, giving Ska’dur a few levels worth of experience. He was closing in on level 800.
When he stopped, all that remained below was smoke, loot, and flames.
Now that Ska’dur took care of the monster horde, the Elemental army focused their full attention on the demons.
Ska’dur was about to unleash another Flaming Fist Barrage on the demons when one of their commanders flew up to stop him. The two promptly engaged in a duel, their attacks leaving black scars in the sky.
As the battle went on, the Elemental army started reaching the limits of their stamina and mana. Maintaining their titan forms took a considerable toll. Even with Ska’dur’s arrival and the monster horde eliminated, the Elementals saw little hope of victory.
Just as the Elemental leaders were about to give the order to retreat, a fleet of Silverswift Skyship appeared on the horizon. Standing at the bow of the frontmost ship stood Markus, his greatsword rested atop his shoulder.
Markus raised his hand.
At his signal, the fifty Silverswift Skyships, led by ten Silverswift Skyship V2s, turned sideways. The Mana Reactors powering the skyships rang out with a low hum. Hundreds of barrels poked out, aiming at the demon army far in the distance. As mana funneled into the various artillery, the air started vibrating.
When the vibration reached a peak, Markus swiped downward.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Consecutive blasts rang out, deafening the ears.
The payload moved so fast that you could barely catch it with the naked eye.
In moments, it landed within the demon army, creating giant explosions.
Among the artillery, some fired concentrated blasts of mana, while others were elemental. No matter what type they were, they dealt massive damage to the demon army.
In a daze, the Elements scanned around for the source of the attacks until they spotted the fleet flying in the sky from so far away. They were amazed, awed, and wary all the same.
The sight of reinforcements coming to the Elemental's aid, combined with the sudden losses, made the demon commanders order a retreat. Like fish returning to the sea, the demons disappeared into the surrounding landscape. Although the Elemental army could pursue them, they didn’t for multiple reasons.
Firstly, they were exhausted.
Secondly, they still needed to head to the capitol to prevent Wrath from entering into the Elemental Dimension.
Thirdly, fighting a cornered enemy was unwise, especially when both sides were nearly equal in combat power. The Elementals still needed to consider the monster horde that came every day.
The leaders of the Elemental army had considered all of this.
As such, they sent down orders for the army to take a short rest before heading to the capital. Then, the leaders turned their gazes upward, locking onto Ska’dur and Markus, who had just met up.
