Chapter Caught?
Gilius didn’t waste a second as he quickly rushed to Commander Dan. The fact that they were sending a force here meant that one or both of them had been found out. They had tried their best to make sure that they sent small amounts of supplies and were getting some of the corpses to blame people on for their own crimes. The Diviners were rather pleased with the report, as they had followed orders. However, that didn’t mean a thing if a traitor was found out. Unless it was their own, they wouldn't let it slide. But they were not kin, were they?
“Dan we are in trouble!!!” Dan stopped what he was doing immediately as those words alerted everyone in the room. Sweat was dripping as many of them couldn’t keep their cool, knowing that the diviners were now coming.
“Everyone, proceed to procedure 4. We have no time!!!” Dropping formalities, everyone immediately spread out so they could hide all forms of evidence that could get them exposed. Though they didn’t know who was getting caught, the important thing was making sure that the mission could still continue. Dan then walked with Gilius as he quickly led him to the office. “We need to move everything right now. I don’t know how much time we have, but we need to move.”
“Right away!!” Running towards the office, Gilius carried out his duty. But then he thought about something. As he turned around. “Did you know they were coming?” Looking at Dan, he seemed to be the calm one out of everyone, as he seemingly knew this was going to happen.
“They ordered us to stop operations immediately this morning, giving me a feeling that something was up. I know that one of us has been identified. However, I’m not sure which of us?”
“Then what do we do?”
“Right now, all we can do is make sure our other forces are away. They will probably set this place to the ground in the worst case.”
“Then?”
“Just help me move what you can. But make sure in one hour you keep it silent. Whatever happens, you can’t move; just leave it. We have to do what we can.” Dan said as he pushed Gilius inside the office. “Now go!!!”
“Yes sir!!!” Gilius then with a bunch of men then soon went to the lower floor. Everyone was moving as fast as possible. A whole fleet of tanks and armored vehicles was moving one after another. Yet despite all of that, they were moving very slowly. “Dam!!” Walking to the nearest soldier, he had to do something. “You?”
“Yes sir??”
“Get all the vehicles out right now. Forget loading the ammunition and explosives. Leave that to me.” The soldier and everyone else were then surprised
“But sir, if we don't take any of these, how will…”
“I will deal with it!!! Now go!!!!”
“Right….. right away, sir!!!!!” They then quickly left as Gilius ordered the others.
“Leave about twenty vehicles behind. After that, plant explosives in the entrance.” As a precaution, it was best to prepare for the worst. Spending years to create this tunnel took great effort. Best to make sure that it remains that way.
“Yes sir.” The soldiers then carried his orders in confusion but they didn’t go against it. Gilius then thought to himself.
“Should I use it?” Gilius wondered as he walked into the shadow. Taking a deep breath, he looked around before soon blending with the shadows that consumed the entire cave.
Back into the Camelot capital building.
Looking at the report, Arthur was really intrigued as he was finding it all too surprising. As the overseer to all eleven other families, he usually checks up on everyone daily to make sure everyone are completing their task. It would be assumed with so much work, there should be more members in the Family of Arthur. However, as years went on Arthur's family was just Arthur alone as there was a reason explained later on.
“To think that we had this guy in here and yet no one expected it. It seems like the family of Kay has been slacking?” Hearing that Nelson of Kay then bowed in forgiveness. Kay’s family was the largest among the families. This was because they were the ones that like to mate a lot. So much that they have a lengthy family tree. Because of that they were in charge of Avalonioan military. They were the trainers and leaders of all Avalonian troops. Except for soldiers that are protecting the city, as that belongs to the family of Ector, who are in charge of the city defenses.

“PLEASE FORGIVE OUR DISGRACE TO THE LIGHT. WE WILL ATONE FOR OUR SINS!!!” Nelson shouted as he bowed several times in forgiveness. Even though Nelson wasn’t going to get punish for his mistake, he as a devoted member of diviners, didn’t like causing problems that would trouble the order. But Arthur didn’t mind as he destroyed the report. He then lowered himself as he didn’t want Nelson to injure himself. Those of Kay, despite sometimes lacking in their due diligence, they are actually really devoted to Arthur more than anyone. That was why they were in charge of the military, as it was still overall strong and their main force.
“Have your family destroy them. Remember no one must be alive that is part of the unit. No need for questions. After all, we just need to get rid of it.”
“We won’t fail!!!!” Immediately leaving, Nelson rushed to accomplish his mission. Tripping on his own legs, it was hard to believe that Nelson was one of the twelve ministers. He even didn’t notice the other person within the room. At that time, another minister appeared hiding in her robe as she wanted to keep her presence a secret.
“Should we gather information???” Thinking from her words, Arthur didn’t seem to be bothered by it at all.
“No…..though I feel like something is brewing, it's something that we can deal with. Right now continue your current mission in the East. I need you to know more about the warriors of the Sun.”
“Very well.” The minister soon disappeared. As Arthur then looked at the screens as it was showing the image of Kay's team preparing for the cleanup.
“Those who don’t want to be protected by the light must be destroyed by it.” Looking at his documents, he then sat at his chair as he continues to read the reports.
As they arrived, Dan and his units were stationed properly as though they knew of nothing. However, with the amount of people and the fact that they got not three but ten Diviners here, meant they weren’t going to leave unscathed. They knew that whatever happens, there was going to be no mercy shown whatsoever. Getting ready himself, Gilius also came with his troops. Seeing him arrive, Dan knew that Gilius somehow found a way to get everything taken, as it only took an hour for Gilius to move everything.
“Sorry for the inconvenience. May we ask why you are here?” Dan said politely. But the diviners gave no expression nor any words as they signal all soldiers to surround the base. They even split Dan and Gilius' troops. It wasn't until the Diviners who activated their guns did they say anything.
“Our task was to train and select all who joined the Avalonian army. We make sure that all those who come are willing to fight for the order…”
“Carry the orders faithfully and unconditionally.”
“We swore our lives and have devoted our being to the cause.” Gilius and Dan said as they were both acting normally. The diviners, however, didn’t as they then looked at them in disgust.
“I see…devoted to the cause. However, it seems like one of you two is a traitor.” Hearing that both of them were acting stunned, as this was the first time they had heard. Unbeknownst to the diviners, they were happy inside as they knew only one of them was caught.
“What are you saying sir? We would never..!!!”
“My failures have not caused doubt, has it?”
“Silence!!!” One of the diviners said. As everyone then pointed the guns at the two. “All traitors must be vanquished and we intend to get rid of all who were part of it.” They then look as the leader of the Diviners who went to Gilius as he remained normal as though he wasn’t suspected. Dan was, too. Gilius was then prepared to be shot as all the diviners were prepared to fire.
“You are hereby terminated from your position and will be eradicated.” All of them then fired, causing a large stream of light. Making sure that whoever it was, a speck of him didn’t exist. It didn’t stop there however….
“As well as all who are under your unit.” The Avalonian soldiers then fired on all the troops, getting rid of all of them in the process.
“Ahhhh!!” The cries of many troops dying without a single chance of firing back. One side receives the punishment while the other can only helplessly lower themselves. Liberties that have known each other and have missed working with each other. To see their comrades die like animals was sad to see. Many Liberties didn’t show emotion because if they were caught, they would join them soon.
In just a minute, all the firing stopped. All the soldiers who performed the execution retreated back. The diviners remained as they then approached Gilius, who despite looking calm was extremely nervous. He didn’t even breathe as he was waiting for any good news.
“For your loyalty, Gilius, you will now be the new commander here. Congrats.” A diviner said before leaving.
“Thank you, I will do my best.” Gilius then looked up to see the massacre. Relieved, he is able to breathe once more as the Diviners let Gilius take care of the aftermath. A mess that no one would dare forget. Blood was flooding at everyone’s feet as the blood of their fallen comrades stained their shoes. Many of them wanted to cry, and wanted to moan for them. However, they couldn’t as they were still being watched. All they could do was keep it in their subconscious and moan in silence. Throwing a coin down as they pour gas before then lighting a fire.
“Tonight we are allowed to drink tonight. Burn everything.” Gilius said as he walked on where Dan once stood. Wondering if he should be lucky or not, he was thankful he was alive. He then lights a fire along with his troops. All of the soldiers took a deep breath before they all threw fire at the bodies. That was all they could do for their fallen comrades. Holding everything in with everyone, all dispersed to their respective jobs.
Gilius then went back down to the elevator as he noticed how empty the lair was. It just had twenty vehicles left. But all the ammo and explosives. No one saw as there was no way to get all those moved. But soon he closed the lights as his shadow started to move everywhere. The entire lair was soon consumed by the shadow. Rumbling started to be heard as things were looking to appear as mountains, and soon formed within the shadows. blink
Just as the shadow spread, it soon retracted as Gilius flipped the switch. Opening the lights once more as the shadow was left behind with all the ammunition and explosives visible. Just like that, everything was back in its place. “I'm sorry, Dan, I will carry out your mission. However, I have another mission to fulfill…” Opening a scroll, he gently opened it to show an insignia of
