I was so lost in thought that I didn't even see the truck barreling down the street. One moment I was daydreaming about how to avoid the inevitable, and the next, I was flying through the air like a ragdoll. The impact knocked the wind out of me, and everything went black.
When I came to, I was in a strange place. The sky was a weird purple color, and the trees looked like they were made of candy. I blinked a few times, trying to make sense of it all. "Where am I?" I muttered, rubbing my aching head.
Suddenly, a voice echoed in my mind. "Greetings, Amy. You have been transported to a world where your unique attribute has been amplified. You are now a Dumb Girl, and your stupidity is a force to be reckoned with."
I blinked again, even more confused than before. "My what now?"
"Your dumbness," the voice explained patiently. "In this world, you can defeat enemies by making their brains wilt with your stupidity. It is a powerful force, and you will learn to harness it."
"Okay, but how do I get home?" I asked, looking around at the candy trees.
"First, you must level up and gain skills," the voice said. "Defeat enemies and complete quests to become stronger. Then, you may find a way back to your world."
Great, just what I needed—another test. But hey, if being dumb could get me out of this mess, I was all for it.
I took a few steps forward, and suddenly, a small, slime-like creature appeared in front of me. It had beady eyes and a mischievous grin. "Greetings, traveler," it said in a squeaky voice. "I am a Dumb Slime, and I challenge you to a battle!"
I looked at the slime, then at my hands, which were surprisingly clean considering I'd just been hit by a truck. "Um, how do I fight this thing?" I asked aloud.
"Just be yourself, Amy," the voice encouraged. "Your presence alone should be enough to make it wilt."
I took a deep breath and stepped closer to the slime. It hissed and seemed to shrink back slightly. Emboldened, I took another step. The slime's eyes crossed, and it started to tremble. With one final step, I was right in front of it. The slime let out a pathetic squeak and then poofed into nothingness.

"Whoa, I leveled up!" I exclaimed, looking at my new stats. "And I have a skill!"
"Yes, you have gained the skill Dumb Strike," the voice explained. "This will allow you to deal damage to your enemies based on their Intelligence. The dumber they are, the more effective your attacks will be."
I grinned, feeling a sense of power I'd never experienced before. Maybe being dumb wasn't so bad after all.
Just then, another creature appeared—a small, furry thing with sharp teeth and beady eyes. It snarled at me, and I could feel its malice radiating off it in waves. "Alright, let's do this," I said, cracking my knuckles.
I stepped forward, channeling my inner dumbness. The creature snarled and lunged at me, but I stood my ground. As it got closer, its eyes started to glaze over, and its movements became sluggish. With a final lunge, it collapsed at my feet, defeated.
"Congratulations, Amy," the voice said. "You have defeated a Dumb Wolf and gained more experience points!"

I looked at my new stats and skills, feeling a sense of pride. Maybe I could get used to this whole "being dumb" thing.
As I continued to explore this strange world, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. Who knew that being dumb could be so much fun? I was Amy, the Dumb Girl, and I was about to kick some serious ass.
- An (unswapped, by request, but awesome) shoutout: Check out another story featuring one of the main characters of this chapter: by Katie Burk. A hilarious isekai featuring the isekai-master himself!
- An (unswapped, guilty pleasure) shoutout: I am ridiculously addicted to by Tsoomoo. I cannot explain why I like this story so much. You may find it weird, or dumb. I find it just crazy entertaining.
- I'm really enjoying by UnproperMadman. Sysapoc with a crazy-entertaining charming comic book weeb, awesome powers, but no feeling of unkillable-protagonist. Best #1 Rising Star story I've read.
