“What do you mean by crafting my class, the system already gave me my five options right?” Ethan raised an eyebrow and looked over the options again. “I have to pick one of them just like before.” The god shook his head and sighed.
“Did you even listen to what I said? This is your cornerstone class, the one that influences your way going forward the most, it’s a major step in your development. Of course you can deviate a bit down the line but this time you will strengthen the foundation you have already started to build. I told you the system listens to suggestions, you need to stop thinking about it like a program running in the background and more like a living breathing being. It’s certainly smarter than most of the people out there in the multiverse. Did you think the system is limited to five class options?”
He shook his head, looking almost angry at the elf before focusing back on the task at hand. “Well, I can’t blame you really, you got thrown into the system while most people lived more than one lifetime with it already. I shouldn’t be angry at you for not knowing, let’s focus back on your class. Just tell me or rather the system what kind of things you would like from those five options, I’m sure you have things in mind.”
Ethan really had some ideas and he would love to incorporate them into his new class, to his understanding the concepts the system used in a class were a lot stronger than things he could come up with on his own. Because the system had all the data of all past and present system users available to it.
“I had some ideas, yeah…I would like to use the [High Wizard of Frostfall’s Chains] as the baseline, if we speak in percentage I would say around fifty percent of that class. With [The Sage of Winter’s Pestilence] at around thirty percent and [High Wizard of Frozen Stillness] for the last twenty percent. But does the system even know what I mean with that?”
The god in front of him nodded slowly, able to look at the options Ethan had picked under the special circumstances they were in. “Oh it does, don’t worry about it. Now are there any skills you would like to sacrifice?”
It took a moment for Ethan to react to such a statement. “What do you mean by that? Also you can’t just ask me stuff like that and expect me to know the answer. Aren’t you here to guide me through this? At least explain it properly so we don’t waste time going in circles.”
Ar’kzul smiled. “Sacrificing skills can happen in a few ways, for skill fusions mostly but in this case you can sacrifice skills to improve your class and you might get an even better skill out of that new class. You can acquire the same skills again but it’s rare so be careful what you pick. Are there any skills you want to get rid of?”
Ethan looked over his class skills and stared at three skills he almost never used. It happened so rarely he might just give them up in return for something better. While there was some hesitation from him as he was worried it might come back to bite him later, in the end it felt right. If he thought about it, these skills became redundant the moment he used ritualism and his special eternal ice variant to compensate for the lack of a skill.
“I will sacrifice [Frozen Prison of the Progenitor(Advanced)], [Bulwark of the Northern Peaks(Advanced)] and [Elemental Infusion(Advanced)] for this class selection.” The moment those words left his mouth the skills vanished from his status and he felt a hole opening up inside of him, but the feeling vanished a few moments later but it left him feeling restless instead..
“Good, now should we see what kind of class the system creates for you?” Ar’kzul smiled and pointed to the screen that was hovering between them.

[High Wizard of Winter’s Persistence]
[Frostfall is no more, destroyed by men, beast and god to never return. Losing Winter to time and history with those that still know of the old times hiding in the shadows of others. Though Winter is nothing if not persistent, returning every single time. Though corrupted by gods, hollowed out by beasts and forgotten by men it can never be destroyed. Instead Winter will assamilite those punishments it received and grow stronger from it.
High Wizard of Winter’s Persistence is a hybrid class. It’s focused on area domination, crowd control and damage over time. Drawing strength from Winter and the world of Frostfall itself. Combining the chains that bind worlds, the serene and deadly stillness of winter and the corrupting rot infecting the core of Frostfall, Frozen Heart’s Rot, to form a class that is the embodiment of winter’s deadly frozen grip. +20 Intelligence +20 Wisdom +10 Perception + 5 Vitality +5 Free points]

[Frozen Heart’s Rot(Expert)]
[Harnessing the taint of frozen rot, the wizard unleashes an area of effect or single target, damage over time spell that weakens enemies through decay and corruption, able to control the flow of battle and crippling foes over extended battles. Mastery in this area grants the ability to amplify damage received from ice attacks and spread frozen pestilence at an accelerated pace. Once fully infected, foes might be transformed due to Frozen Heart’s Rot into plaguebearers, infecting others until they die of the Rot, usually in a violent explosion of ice.]
[Stillness of the Frozen Void(Expert)]
[The ability to induce area wide silence and slow effects, locking down sections of the battlefield. Once the threshold is met, the area becomes a deadly zone of bursts of damage over time, sapping enemies' health and slowing down mobility. This ability rewards patience and strategic timing, becoming devastating when fully activated. | + Infusion]
*Update* Explanation: Infusion -> The ability to infuse certain concepts of a skill into other skills to grant them different effects. Example: Infusing the concept of silence or damage over time into a crowd control skill to silence enemies or accumulate passive damage. While weaker than the actual skill it can remove negative effects like a long charge time.
The god laughed when he saw Ethan’s eyes grow bigger and bigger. “Well now you understand why I’m here right? I think that class will suit you very well. It looks good for a level 50 class, though I saw stronger ones but you’re still up there with the elite.” The god raised an eyebrow and snapped his fingers in front of Ethan’s face. “Boy snap out of it, if you start to drool on my table we have an issue.”
Ethan literally jumped up in his seat and shook his head. “Sorry about that, it's…just so good. Like I really want it, the skills too are what I imagined. I never thought the system would grant me that.”
“You sacrificed three skills for it and it’s not like you asked for a completely different class, this very much aligns with your path of battlefield control. Now you just added more damage over time which you already had a bit with your frostbite. So take it kid, you need it to win in that little war of yours.”
With a big smile on his face Ethan accepted the new class and could feel the rush as his body was infused with stronger concepts of control, ice and pestilence and abilities related to it. He moved his body, turned his head and took a deep breath which resulted in him freezing the top of the table with his breath alone. “I feel strong…I can’t imagine how strong you must feel as a god.”
Ar’kzul just winked and shook his head. “Get there and you’ll know. Now, we have your subclass to look at next. I must admit I’m excited about it myself, not even I know a lot about your class in detail as it was lost so long ago and especially well hidden. Ah but don’t worry I can’t share anything that I learn here anyway, the system is very strict when it comes to that.”
The both looked at each before Ethan accepted the system prompt and the same thing then before happened.
*Update* Calculating class choices…
Class choice one….ready!
Class choice two….ready!
Class choice ready....ready!
Class choice four....ready!
Class choice five…ready!
Just that this time nothing presented him with an error message which made him sigh in relief. He was already nervous enough as it is. After hesitating for a moment he finally looked at the offered choices, wondering if there was an option for him or if he had to craft another class with the system.
[Frostforger of the Glacial Vanguard]
[The Frostforger of the Glacial Vanguard specializes in creating and commanding resilient ice soldiers. These units serve as a durable frontline and can flank enemies effectively. They are fast, strong, and capable of overwhelming opponents to break their morale. The Frostforger can deploy a large number of these soldiers, with specialized variants increasing mana costs. They are designed to repel enemies and support battlefield control. +10 Vitality, +10 Intelligence, +10 Wisdom, +10 Free Points]
[Frostforger of the Blood Reaper Legion]
The Frostforger of the Blood Reaper Legion is a specialized class that utilises personalized and specialized equipment created by the system user. The Legion emphasizes strong defense and long-reach weapons. Its primary focus is inflicting lasting wounds that weaken enemies over time. Legion soldiers can absorb blood to temporarily increase their strength and partially repair damage taken. +5 Perception, +15 Intelligence, +15 Wisdom, +5 Willpower]
[Summoner of the Mountainous Bulwark]
[The Summoner of the Mountainous Bulwark prioritizes defense. This class specializes in summoning a special type of defensive soldier. They have enhanced recovery capabilities and can emit an aura that boosts defense for allies in the immediate area. Soldiers of the defensive variant are slow and less maneuverable, sacrificing flexibility for resilience and strength. +15 Vitality, +10 Intelligence, +10 Wisdom, +5 Free Points]
[Crafter of the Icy Swarm]
[While others command thousands, you desire tens of thousands, you seek a force to overwhelm your enemies. The Crafter can construct up to ten soldiers at the same time though they’re weaker and less resilient than the standard variant. To make up for the weakness the soldiers constantly release a small aura of frost which can freeze enemies when exposed to a sufficient number of soldiers. +10 Dexterity +10 Intelligence +10 Wisdom +5 Perception +5 Free Points]
[Scholar of the Magical Legion]
[Harnessing the power of magic to infuse their constructs with, the scholar can summon a small elite force of them that use spells to devastate the battlefield. While strong in terms of magic their bodies are frail and due to the amount of mana they contain, if destroyed they explode violently endangering the scholar. Despite that ice mages are a very strong support best served from the backlines. +20 Intelligence +20 Wisdom]
Ethan looked over the options, again and again thought his eyes always stuck one of them specifically and with a sigh he looked at Ar’kzul. “This one should be easier to decide…”
