Chapter 8 Help Me

  Chapter Eight Help Me

Jiangniang walked around the Taoist temple for two circles, unlike before, she walked very slowly this time, stopping from time to time.

Ya Tou's mind was preoccupied with something and she walked absent-mindedly, unexpectedly bumping into Cheng Jiaoniang who had stopped in front of her at some unknown time.

"Daughter, are you tired?" she hastily asked, supporting her body.

Jiang Yao shook her head and stood in this position, looking down at the small Taoist temple.

The girl followed her and stared blankly.

"Look, the roof is all broken," said Cheng Jiaoniang.

Huh? The girl was taken aback for a moment, then looked over and saw that it was somewhat old, but still passable. But what did this have to do with them?

As daylight gradually brightened, Ya Tou put the canopy on Cheng Jiaoniang and walked towards the pavilion. Before they reached the entrance, a person rushed out from the side.

Ya Tou's nerves were already weak and fragile, seeing someone rush over and letting out a sharp cry, she turned around and hugged Cheng Jiaoniang.

The newcomer was startled and took several steps back.

This is a twelve or thirteen year old boy, wearing an old linen shirt, looking somewhat silly.

"Are you Green Plum Sister?" he asked.

Ya Tou's name was Qing Mei before she changed it to Ban Qin.

"My sister is Chunlan, she asked me to find you." The young man continued.

The girl finally calmed down from her panic.

"What's this?" She looked at the cloth package handed over by the young man, puzzled.

"This is the money my sister asked me to bring to you," said the young man.

Qing Mei opened the cloth package and saw a few pieces of silver inside, startling her.

"What did your sister give me money for?" she asked.

At home, she was of low status. The difference between her and the young masters' personal maids was like heaven and earth. Those personal maids who served the young masters wouldn't even look at them straight in the eye on a daily basis, let alone now that she had been driven out of the house and might never be able to return in this lifetime. Sending money for herself? What did that mean?

"It's not for you either," the young man said. "That half-older sister from before, she had a favor to ask of my sister when she left, asking her to take care of your mother a bit more. My sister was worried that you would have a hard time outside, so she saved up some money and asked me to bring it over. You should use it to get your mother something good to eat."

The girl was stunned, her nose suddenly sour without realizing it, and tears fell down pitter-patter.

The boy was startled and indeed followed the fool's lead, and they were either shouting or crying.

"Thank you, sister," said the girl, wiping away her tears.

I didn't expect that among so many people at home, there would be a young girl who still remembers her mother, although it was due to the previous young girl's instructions. But as people say, "out of sight, out of mind", and those who can remember others' kindness are really rare.

"No need to thank me, no need to thank me. I live in the alley behind my house, if you have anything, just let someone come find me." The young man said, turning around to leave.

"Wait a minute." said Jingniang Cheng who had been sitting in the back seat all along.

The young man was stunned for a moment, then turned his head to look at the woman sitting under the corridor with a bamboo hat.

"She's calling me?" he asked curiously.

"Yes," said Jingniang, "Banjin, give him the money."

The girl and the boy both stared blankly for a moment.

She was still angry with the original girl, so she absolutely wouldn't accept her kindness. The girl thought for a moment, without any hesitation, and handed the bundle to the young man.

"What's going on?" the young man asked dazedly.

"I want you to help me with something," said Jingniang, "This is your wages."

The girl and the boy were both stunned.

"You, what do you want me to help with?" the young man stuttered and asked.

"The roof here is broken, you go help me find some bricklayers to repair the roof." said Cheng Jiaoniang.

The roof is broken, does it really have anything to do with them? Ya Tou looked at Cheng Jiaoniang in shock.

The man rushed into the house and found the host lying on the couch taking a nap. Hearing the noise, he opened his eyes to see him and was startled.

"What are you doing sneaking in during broad daylight?" she shouted as she stood up.

The man cheated and smiled ingratiatingly as he rubbed against the woman's body for a moment.

"It's not like nothing's wrong, how can I not come? It's been several days since we've been intimate, I'm starving to death." He said with a smile.

The woman struggled for a while but couldn't open it, and the two of them rubbed against each other for a moment.

"I didn't tell you to avoid me, did I? Wait till I've comforted that little girl, then you can come." The woman said, while combing her hair.

"That little girl, isn't she just a piece of cake for you to capture?" The man said nonchalantly as he leaned back on the bed.

The woman hummed and glanced at the man for a moment before raising her hand and hitting him hard.

"What's wrong with you?" The man shouted in pain after being punched in the stomach.

The woman glared at him with hatred.

"You're really shameless, even a fool would want you!" she said angrily.

The man burst out laughing and as soon as he mentioned the fool, he thought of that fool's appearance, and the suppressed fire came up again.

That idiot, looks so good, rarely understands anything, in bed isn't it just a matter of her doing whatever you want her to do.....

He got up and hugged the woman.

"It's a waste of effort anyway." He said with a chuckle.

"You die yourself and leave me alone!" the woman said in hatred.

"With you here, how can I bear to die?" The man smiled and comforted the woman with a mix of intimacy and coaxing. "This is still your call, since that Cheng family has abandoned this fool here, they naturally don't want her anymore. If the Cheng family doesn't want her, why are you still treating her like a mother? Good girl, why not just give her to me instead?"

The woman's helplessness in being exploited, hating and loving the man at the same time, knowing her beauty is fading, having no money, wanting to grasp this man can't help but give him a taste.

A young girl, a fool, is easily wrapped around one's fingers. Once the deed is done, there's no need to worry about her making a fuss or hooking up with that man and dumping oneself. It's truly perfect.

"Before conquering that little girl, don't provoke that fool first." The woman said, pointing at the man's forehead.

The man was overjoyed, since there's a first time, then there's a next time. No matter what the order is, as long as he gets his hands on her, it's a delightful thing. He hugged that woman and pressed down.

"I have ways you don't know about, I guarantee that little girl will think about it day and night after just one taste." He said with a lewd smile.

The woman heard this and was clearly jealous in her heart, but she also had an inexplicable emotional stirring, so she leaned back to meet him.

Just as they were about to enter the alley, a commotion was heard from outside the door, with many people chattering and shouting, which startled the two of them into hastily adjusting their clothes.

"What's wrong? Who is outside?" the woman shouted, her heart racing with fear.

I heard many men talking outside, could it be that the girl went back and told them, did the Cheng family send people over?

No, I've been letting Xiaotong stare at that master and servant for a while now, but there's nothing unusual to report.

The woman plucked up her courage and came to the yard, where she saw a group of men carrying baskets and ropes on their backs, noisily surrounding the yard and pointing fingers.

"Is it here to repair the house?" she asked in surprise.

"Yes." The maid also hurried out from the back and said, "Master Guan, my house is a bit old and leaks rain, so I'll have someone fix it. Why don't you get yours fixed too?"

It's naturally great if someone can fix your house without spending any money.

  The woman smiled and nodded.

"That's great, it has been raining a lot these days, I was just about to ask someone to come over, let's fix it together." she said.

The two little children standing behind exchanged a glance, their eyes full of disappointment.

I thought the young man's arrival was an opportunity, but unexpectedly, he was only sent to find someone to repair the house.

  Fool, indeed is a fool.
