I've answered this question over and over. Here is a brief summary. I did not do all this when I started. I learned through trial and error.

  -Write a story in a popular genre for the audience you are writing for. For RR, that is Litrpg, Xinxia, Cultivation, and Iseka. If you don't know what those are, look them up, find the popular stories in the genres, and read them. If you don't have time to read, give up on writing those genres.

  -Look at the top stories on RS, Most Popular, and Best Rated. Figure out what they did right.

  -Write your story, having at least 60 chapters in backlog. These will be used for first week drop, fast-paced release over the next month, and at least a backlog of 20 on Patreon.

  -Setup your Patreon, use artwork, make it simple without a ton of tiers. Look at the big stories and how they set up their Patreon Pages. Don't post yet.

  -Edit your story using a spellcheck program. If you don't like editing, you should give up on plans to make money.

  Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site.

  -Get a great cover done. Study other stories' covers. Look on Amazon. What you see the most of is what works.

  -Make sure your title and synopsis don't hold you back. You are writing to market. Snappy title, short and interesting synopsis.

  -Get on Rising Stars, shoot up, gain thousands of followers, convert those followers to Patreons, get an offer from a publisher. Profit and quit your day job.

  or, maybe not. If your first story doesn't fly, write another and figure out why it didn't. Write a million words, and get better at writing. Grow a thick skin and learn to take advice.

  I drink a lot of coffee. I write 40 hours a week. I am moderately successful and not quitting my day job for years. My elbows and wrists hurt. I have imposter syndrome once a week. I need to write more but want a vacation. I drink 2 pots of coffee a day.
