CHAPTER 02:

  THE WARNING

  The boy continues to watch them with curiosity. His expression

  lit up with adoration and excitement as he questions himself.

  above the trees. He quickly glances through the surrounding ground and trees

  below him. With a few movements of his head, the combatant sees the boy now

  running away. As the combatant descends with the equal amount of speed and

  power, he used to launch himself into the air. He grabs a thick and strong

  branch of a large tree and swings off it to another tree. The force, agility

  and fast

  reaction he used to leap and swing of the trees surpass the skill

  level of an awakened 78-year-old African Chimpanzee, his grip strength was at

  levels above the mighty grip of a greedy Monarch.

  The boy notices both of the combatants as they got closer,

  approaching him with believable speed. The boy noticing that furious face of

  the strong combatant swinging from tree to tree like a furious monkey while the

  swift combatant is nowhere in sight. The boy musters all his strengths and

  dashes with his full might to escape from their pursuit even though it was a

  futile attempt with no possibilities of success.

  Within a few minutes and seconds of the chase, the combatants

  caught the boy and pinned him into a tree, while the other combatant reappears

  like a nasty ghost.

  The strong combatant calls out to the boy's name while the boy

  struggles to no avail to free himself.

  '' Damilare, why have you once again disregarded my warning.?? ''

  Damilare responds while looking at both combatants face.

  '' I just wanted to watch. Please release me brother. ''

  The strong combatant then proceeds to release Damilare, and check

  for any external injuries before asking

  '' Are you okay.? ''

  Damilare responds with an excited and happy facial expression.

  The strong combatant smiles back but then without warning he

  swings his fist with a great force towards Damilare but purposely misses him,

  but the amount of damage caused from the missed punch was more than enough to

  wipe out a town of unawaken humans. He caused so much destruction to the

  terrain that a lot of trees were destroyed to pieces or fell off while the

  plants and flowers were completely uprooted along with the soil.

  Within the short seconds of the strong combatant swinging his

  fist, the swift combat had taken Damilare a few feet’s away out of any

  potential harm.

  '' Akinfemi! WHY! ''

  The swift combatant screams while holding Damilare in his arms

  measuring and checking if he received any injuries.

  '' Damilare, are you injured...''

  '' No, brother Abayomi.''

  Then Abayomi release his brother and swiftly and furiously dashes

  for Akinfemi and stops just a few inches from Akinfemi.

  '' Are you trying to kill him…'' He asks with a blood red eye,

  and a furious face.

  '' It was merely a bluff. I never thought of attacking. I just

  wanted to scare him enough for him to understand how dangerous it can…''

  '' that bluff wasn't wise nor necessary...''

  '' A word is enough for the wise, I won't tolerate him

  disregarding my warning any longer not especially at the cost of his safety.''

  Then he turns his face to look directly at Damilare. From his view

  Damilare is wearing a shocked expression, standing still as he looks at their

  direction.

  '' Learn from the warning and suffering of other and not from the

  foolishness of ignoring those warnings.''

  Then Akinfemi turns and walks away leaving both of them there

  standing in stunned silence staring after him in shock, speechless and

  bewildered. The two then walk away slowly in silence. As Damilare reflects on

  their conversation while Abayomi reflects on what just happened. Upon getting to

  their destination which is their large palace made of dull red hue colored clay

  walls. Abayomi then decides to escort Damilare to his private chambers for a

  light hearted discussion.

  Within the Odeniyi quarters is Abayomi and Damilare walking

  through the beautifully and creativity designed corridor approaching the

  private chamber of one of their siblings. They walked by the entrance of Dijmon

  private chamber and they continue to walk. As they advance through the wide

  corridor, we see through the view of Abayomi as he passes by different rooms

  that either belonged to a family member or a few chambers sealed closely with Warrior’s

  steel to keep very valuable treasures of the odeniyi family that cannot be kept

  in the external treasury of the family due to how important those treasures

  are. After a few minutes of walking, they finally arrive at Damilare private

  chamber and walks in. Upon their entry they both grab a stool each and sat on,

  after a few seconds of awkward silence Abayomi breaks the silence by trying to

  plead for Akinfemi's good character to which he brought up the character change

  of Akinfemi after engaging in the most gruesome war of the current times and

  how he didn't mean any harm.

  '' Damilare, you know that Akinfemi didn't mean any harm upon you.

  right after all he is our brother, our flesh and blood, he is our next leader

  and heir in our family... He has always looked out for us and would never

  intentionally hurt us. He has done a lot for the family, for us for you. ''

  But Damilare remains silent staring straight at Abayomi's face

  with a distant gaze of a person lost in thought, indicating Damilare conscious

  unwillingness to discuss about had happened.

  '' Although he is strict and ruthless at times. He won't do

  anything to put us or you in harm’s way. you might not know him well After All he just recently came back from the 23rd demonic war, but he improved himself

  and gained unimaginable strength so that he can prevent us from joining him on

  that battlefield their by protecting us from a life of trauma, a fate worse than death or even death itself.''

  Abayomi says with a cracked and soft voice with quivering lip and

  sad expression.

  But Damilare remains unmoved and says nothing in responds, along

  with a blank expression

  Abayomi Grasping Damilare unwillingness to respond sighs heavily

  while looking at him with concern But Damilare finally opens his mouth only to

  request for another way of acquiring power and awakening. Damilare successful changes the topic while also seeking a answer to a question, he has struggled to find a solution to

  with his limited authority, the answer to a situation that has been disturbing

  his mind, and body. The answer that will relieve him of his inner battles with his

  personal insecurities.

  The answer that may put him in the league of awakeners, maybe in

  a league above his siblings.
