Chapter 6 The First Outstanding Talent

Chapter 6 The First Outstanding Talent

I saw those women in Chinese clothes pick him up, felt relieved, closed his eyes and waited for the death sentence.

After waiting for a long time, the expected pain did not come, and I only heard a horse's frightened neigh. I tentatively opened my eyes, completely stunned.

All I saw was a young man in a pale blue long shirt standing in front of me, one arm wrapped around my waist to prevent me from falling. His amber eyes reflected the flustered me, and his handsome face was full of concern. A strand of raven-black hair that had been fixed by a white jade hairpin floated onto my face, causing a tingling sensation.

I suddenly realized that this tall and slender man had actually lifted the hoof with his bare hands. Was I saved by him?!

"Miss, are you alright?" He asked with unparalleled gentleness, his lips curled up in a faint smile, and at that moment when I was left alone and adrift in ancient times, being treated as a beggar and on the verge of death, this handsome man saved me and even cared to ask if I was okay.

I was watching his smile and for a moment forgot to respond.

Years later, I had all sorts of entanglements with the man in front of me. Every time I felt heartbroken and sentimental, thinking of that smiling face and the thick, simple care, I couldn't help but burst into tears.

"I'm fine." I replied with a trembling voice. He put down the horse whip, and the carter was startled, quickly turned around and ran back.

I went to look for the child again and found that he had already been picked up. One of the leading ladies in Chinese clothes came over and handed me a package of silver, saying: "Miss, you saved our young master today, this is a token of our appreciation, please accept it."

I lugged that heavy bag of silver, really wanting to accept it, not because I needed to return the favor, but because I really needed the money now. But with the handsome guy by my side, how could I possibly do so, so I retreated and said: "It's just a small effort, no need to mention it."

The noble lady in embroidered clothes paused for a moment, put away the silver and said: "May I ask which young lady you are? I will go back to report to my master's house and then come again to thank you heavily.

"Huh? Isn't that Chihiro?" Before I could even respond to the woman in embroidered clothes, a voice of disbelief rang out from beside me as a young woman pointed at the man who had just rescued me.

The woman next to her chimed in: "Really, the number one talented young man, Yi Qian Xun..."
