Oh man. That 3k words a day goal really hit me today! xD.
We have already hit the 'I am' goalpost. You know. My favorite part of the story early on where the person is like:
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
"Who am I?"
Then answer with something like:
"I AM INFINITE!"
In this case it is two declarations by Anon. One making him timeless. The other being far more interesting mechanically. A transformation ability. He is essentially existing in two states. One with a physical form. The other more incorporeal.
I am surprised that he had reached this state so early in the story. Today I wrote a more slice of life approach and wasn't happy with the pacing. I felt that him going to parties, working a normal job, and otherwise trying to unlock his declarations while it would be easy to write.
It wasn't too fun in all honesty. I prefer the style of story where it isn't just slice of life, I like more more abilities unlocked and the exploration of those powers. Then having slice of life with a dash of superpowers is fun.
You could say chapter 4 is where the story really begins. Since it is when his 'goldenfinger' is officially online. Before that, he was just a normal guy...
He has pretty much lost everything however. He no longer has a place to sleep. He is in debt. He had medical bills he never paid. He also lost his job.
Anon is not having a good time from the perspective of others. But he has gained a lot of power and the foundation of the story has been created.
I just hope I can continue to write fun chapters!
I think the goal of 1.5k words a day isn't too bad. But doing double that on weekends might be a bit much! We shall see. So far I have been meeting my goals.
