The Draconians, some called them the lizard people, were on earth before the birth of Christ, before the pyramids were erected, even before the dinosaurs became extinct.

  They had left this earth in search of a new home when they destroyed theirs. They searched for centuries trying to find an inhabitable planet in one of the nearby solar systems. They found their new home in the Gliese system. They have prospered and evolved there. After millennia of life on Drakon, they became curious of their abandoned home.

  The Draconian’s had finished their first faster than light ship. They were eager to see what their old home world was like. Had it recovered from the cataclysmic war, or had life become completely eradicated? What new life would conquer the old home world if it had survived?

  The mission was a simple one. The crew was to do a fly-by of the planet. The ship would scan for life forms, any type of communication, and then head back home. At such a distance communication would be nearly impossible. If the ruling council liked what they discovered on their home world a second mission would be conducted. One to set up an embassy there, or, if their home planet was as dead as most scientists believed, to try and revitalize the planet.

  They did not expect to get back to Earth so soon. They thought they had another twenty years before they would even enter the solar system, let alone get to earth. They were coming in too fast. The spacecraft would not survive the fall
