I must warn you if you have not yet figured it out. This is not a happy tale. Neverland is a place of wonder, yes, but it hides shadows darker than the depths of the sea.
I shall remind you that it has been 10 years since Peter has seen his twin, his brother. The magic of Neverland, of the fairies, of immortality have wiped his mind off his Before.
He has no fond remembrance of his first adventures with his brother. He does not look at his reflection in the water and see his brother.

He has no Before, only now.
James has spent 10 years away, he has grown up. Though he still remembers trailing behind his brother on daring escapades. He looks in his reflection and sees hints of his father and mother, dreadful as that may be, he also sees his younger self.
And in his younger image, he sees his brother.
I shall also remind you that Curly, the once Lost Boy has little to no memories of his own Before. He does not know what an adult looks like.
As we continue this story, I feel it important to remind you that all that you read has already come to happen, this is unfortunately a tale of past events.
