66. 2 Kicks!!

Galen explained his plan to both Medrick and the veteran.

“This is risky, this might fail so badly even if one of the pieces falls apart,” Medrick gave his opinion after hearing.

“We will try this out, we don’t have time to think of another,” The veteran gave his view.

  KICK!!!

  BANG!!

The sound of the kick was so destructive that the vibration alone gave cracks to the walls that were far away.

All 3 turned back and began to run to find out who created that sound.

“What was that?” All three were astonished by the sound.

In the dust spread across the place, where nothing is visible due to it, stood a man with a body covered with blood. Though the place was so messy and unclear, his eyes stood otherwise.

The eyes looked dangerous, and he remained still, staring at what was in front of him.

Three of them could hear the sound of the breath so loudly, which caused them to turn their focus towards the left side.

They saw a man who was thrown to the walls, couldn’t move properly, trying to get up, holding his shoulder.

After clearing the dust from the place, they realised it was Anders, who was trying to stand, and it was the scarred man who was standing in the middle of the place.

He picked up his sword from the ground.

  6 minutes before the incident,

When both Medrick and the veteran were fighting the remaining enemies, 200 meters away, a man was awakened.

The scarred man stood up; his mind knew the condition of his body, but his heart declined to follow the mind.

He didn’t shout out of anger or run towards them; he took a long breath and began to walk.

The place was filled with dust, which would be cleared only later. He had only one thought: to kill the veteran commander.

Anders, who saw him walking, knew the danger; he didn’t recover fully, yet he knew that if he allowed him to do whatever he thought, then the place would be destroyed within minutes.

He tried to stand up, even though he couldn’t. He tried with all his energy to stand up, and after some seconds, he succeeded.

The scarred man was so focused that he didn’t even notice him.

“I won’t allow you to leave this place,” Anders said in a normal tone.

The place was so silent that his normal tone sounded bold and heavy.

The scarred man heard it and stopped walking.

Anders began walking towards him, with legs begging to stop due to all the injuries, and mind knowing the outcome, yet he moved forward.

His vision was blurry. His body felt so heavy yet light.

The scarred man didn’t even turn back. He just stood still in his place.

Anders stepped onto a stone that was in front of him, and fell as his eyes closed all of a sudden.

He refused to stay there and got up. This time, his vision felt better for some reason, even though all other parts felt otherwise.

He walked forward a few steps, and when he neared him, he kneeled.

“I will deal with you later, just leave me now,” the scarred man told him, without even looking.

Anders grabbed the feet of the scarred man.

“Please…Please,” he begged, with his tears coming out.

“Leave them, take my life instead,” he pleaded.

Anders remembered the minutes that he spent speaking with Ken. He remembered the words that Ken told him.

He also remembered the moment Ken told him that he was his friend.

The scarred man stood for a second before he eventually decided.

  KICK!!!

  To the present,

Both Medrick and Galen stood there without doing anything when they saw Anders in that kind of position.

The veteran didn’t think twice as he ran towards Anders.

“Stop!!” a voice from the right side of him.

The veteran didn’t stop and carried on.

  SLASH!!!

  Escaped!

The veteran barely managed to escape the slashing of the scarred man using his instincts.

The field remained silent for a few seconds as no one spoke a word.

“Galen! Medrick! Carry him and escape from here,” The veteran ordered.

“I will stop him,” he added.

Galen and Medrick wasted no time and ran towards Anders.

  Hit!!

The scarred man caught them in no time and beat Medrick with his bare hands.

“I said stop to not only this guy, but to all of you,” he told them, pointing at the veteran.

  Hit!!

He smacked a punch on Galen’s face and threw him to the ground.

“SHHH! I have to save all of them somehow,” The veteran looked confused.

He ran towards the scarred man, took out his sword, and

  SLASH!!

  BLOCKED!!!

The scarred man blocked the sword with his own.

“Why are they risking their life for me? I don’t even know them well,” Anders thought.

“Why did I beg him? I have never pleaded to anyone in my life before this,” his mind kept on asking questions.

“Ken, you know what’s funny, I still have a strong feeling that you guys would still somehow escape from all this,” he said, with a smile.

  Meanwhile,

  Outside the prison,

“Why am I hearing so much noise from inside? Is this a good or bad sign?” Andrew thought during his fight.

Ken was struggling as he was constantly put to the ground by the knight, even though he was trying his best.

  Sound of the breath!!!

“I am losing. What am I supposed to do?” Ken muttered, unable to even stand.

His eyes almost gave up as his vision became blurry, his legs refused to stand, and his mind was the most exhausted one.

  “I…” he couldn’t even speak.

Sound of the coin flipping in the air!!!!!

Ken opened his eyes, suddenly and checked his pocket; his coin was still with him.

“Who…” he turned towards his right side to see who flipped it.

  HEADS!!!

“I think that means kick, right?” Andrew muttered, reached the ground, picked up the coin and put it into his pocket.

  IGNIS KICK!!!!

He kicked an enemy with his bread-and-butter move.

“So, this is how you would feel every time, you flip a coin, Coin Flipper?” he said, turning back to his left.

Ken saw everything and felt something different yet familiar.

He sensed the chaotic environment before changing to a peaceful one.

“I don’t know how, but you always find a way to activate me at the right time,” Ken said, smirking.

“There is nothing like the time being right; instead, you should make the time right for yourself,” Andrew replied, with a smile.
