Chapter 21 : At the Edge of Living and Dead

“What lord of Krimisha was talking about?” asked Ekaksh

“He was just desperate to get out of this place,” said Ivaan. “He wanted to know if the work is done or not.”

  “So, the work is done?”

  “Yes, it is done.”

“So, both of the potion really works, or are they just the showpiece to convince the lord?”

“They both work effectively,” said Ivaan. The crowd of souls was looking at them from a distance.

“All of you, please pick up your potions,” said Ivaan while pointing towards the table filled with potion bottles. The souls approached and looked at the table.

“Each soul should have one potion,” said Ivaan and all of them started picking potions one by one, “remember you all of you have to sprinkle this potion on yourselves before crossing the portal and all of you have to cover lord of Krimisha by surrounding him, it will create a shield which will further restrict the energy from radiating through his body.”

When all of the souls took their potions, they stood in front of him.

“Please, wait there,” said Ivaan while directing them to a place at a distance, “soon, lord of Krimisha will be joining us.”

“I was going to tell you anyway,” said Ivaan. “After a few arrangements, the lord of Krimisha and all of us will be leaving hell from the same path through which the other souls leave hell…”

  “Okay…” he said

“And after that, you have to bring lord of Krimisha to this place” said Ivaan by handing him a note, “and after that, I will take care of him,”

“Ohh…okay,” he said while looking at the note, “but what are you planning to do?”

  “You’ll know that.”

“Okay, if you say so,” he said, “but I am only trusting you because I believe that you will stay true to your words.”

“And I will,” said Ivaan. He nodded and then walked away

If you get to know the plan, then definitely you will try to stop me, which will ruin our whole plan; Everything we have done will be useless, and I can’t let that happen.

“This can’t be true,” said the lord of Kalasutra out of many who are gathered to discuss the lord of Krimisha.

“he’s going against the laws of nature and going against god himself,” said the lord of Tamisra, “I can’t believe that the lord of Krimisha will do that.”

“Ok, then wait,” said the lord of Dandasuka who had called the meeting, “and witness the words turning into reality.”

“He can’t go against lord Yama,” said the lord of Kalasutra, “he is above us all.”

“It’s true,” said the lord of Avici, “but we all know about the lord of Krimisha and how he is when someone comes in his way. The thing which Lord Yama did to him, he is not going to take that easily, and we all know what he wants, which he told us in the meeting held by him in which he stated that he wants to overthrow Lord Yama’s rule.”

“Does it matter what he says?” said the lord of Kalasutra, “We all know that Lord Yama is the ruler of all the hells, and he will never be able to defeat him without our help, so we don’t need to worry.”

“Don’t take this lightly,” said the lord of Dandasuka, “it may seem like the lord of Krimisha is powerless against lord Yama, but don’t forget he has many souls who were all great practitioners of magic, and now they are all working under his command.”

“So what?” said the lord of Kalasutra

“These souls are the ones that are most difficult to control; even the most experienced lords of hell have a hard time punishing these souls,” said the lord of Avici, “and he has all the souls of that hell under his control, which is a thing to worry about.”

“But why are the souls supporting him?” asked the lord of Tamisra

“They are supporting him because he gave them something which other lords of hell cannot give,” said the lord Dandasuka, “he freed all of them from punishments which no lord of hell can dare to do. By this, you all will understand how pressing this matter is.”

“Why not tell lord Yama?” asked the lord of Tamisra, “he will appreciate us for the work we have done.”

“Yes, he would,” said the lord of Dandasuka, “it is also true that Lord Yama has never doubted the loyalty of any lord of hell, but after learning about the betrayal from the lord of Krimisha, he will doubt the loyalty of every lord of hell, which I don’t want to happen.”

Ivaan was filling two bottles with potion.

“Are all arrangements done?” asked lord of Krimisha from behind

“Yes, sire,” said Ivaan and showed him the potion bottles.

“Nothing less I would have accepted,” said the lord, “okay, when we are leaving this place.”

“Now, sire,” said Ivaan, “You just have to put both of these potions on yourself, and after that, we will leave together through the path through which the souls return to earth…”

The lord picked up both the bottle and sprinkled the potion all over his body. Small golden particles started falling from all over his body, and he started looking like a human soul.

  “So how do I look?”

“Unrecognizable, Lord Yama himself wouldn’t have been able to guess who you really are”

“I don’t like the smell of it,” said lord of Krimisha with disgust, “it’s feeling like I am covered with human shit!!!”

“Just bear it for some time, sire,” said Ivaan, “we will be out of here soon.”

“Where are all the other souls?” asked the lord

“They all were waiting for your arrival, sire,” said Ivaan

“Great, let’s move,” said the lord, and both of them walked towards the place where all the other souls were waiting.

The lord of Krimisha glanced at Ivaan.

“It will not be good for me to speak, sire,” said Ivaan, “today, these souls are going to get free from hell. It will be good if you cheer them or do something which will make all of these souls feel valued so that they will support you in the future also.”

“That will be perfect,” said the lord, “you were really the most suitable man for this job.”

The lord of Krimisha stepped forward and gazed at the audience.

“Some days ago, we made a deal that you all would help me to get out of this place, and I would free you all from the punishments of hell,” said the lord of Krimisha, “You all have fulfilled your promise, and now it is the time to fulfill mine. After coming out of hell, you all will be free, and you will be able to do whatever you want, but this doesn’t end here. You all helped me even when you all could have refused, but you didn’t.”

“In return, I want to give you an opportunity that will prove to be prosperous for your next lives. After coming out of hell, I want to do a lot of things in the earthly realm to make it a better place for all of you, and for that, I would need help, and as far as I know, the people who have helped me the most are you.”

“So I want all of you to help me in the work that I’m going to do for the betterment of the earthly realm,” said the lord

The crowd was silent. “Who’s with me?” asked the lord, “who wants a life where it doesn’t matter how much wrong, you’ll not be punished.”

  The crowd cheered.

“Let’s get out of this shitty place,” shouted the lord of Krimisha and turned around and started walking away from the crowd.

“You are really good at this, sire,” said Ivaan when the lord was passing through him, and the lord stopped.

“You just need to say what the people want to listen to and they will love you,” said the lord, “what about you? Will you work for me?”

“I didn’t think about that, yet, sire,” said Ivaan, “I think I will not have any better thing to do, so I will work for you.”

All of them started moving towards the path from where the souls leave hell; it was like a big opening of a cave higher than any castle ever built, and the light from the earthly realm was coming out. A big and infinite crowd of souls was passing through it in consistent order.

The sides of the cave were stretched, and many yamadutas were standing holding ropes and chains in their hand, and they were looking around with red, haunting eyes, staring at each and every soul.

“It’s magnificent, isn’t it?” said Ekaksh

“Only if the place was better than the exit,” said Ivaan, he looked behind at the crowd of souls, “sprinkle the potion on yourselves and cover lord Yama from all around, and lord of Krimisha, please stay between the crowd, slowly align yourselves with the other crowds of souls passing through the portal.”

All the souls did what Ivaan commanded and covered the Lord of Krimisha by sprinkling potions on themselves.

The lord of Krimisha was walking in between the crowd as Ivaan told him to do, so that the other souls would act as a shield by shielding his Immense energy from radiating out of his body, including the potion he sprinkled on himself. Ivaan was leading the souls, and on his right side, Ekaksh was walking, glancing all around.
