"So, serious duels result in the winner getting to choose if the loser gets to keep their deck or not?" Mao looked over at Ryomen as they walked, "Yep. Along with deciding if they want to take any card from the loser's deck, Ryomen nodded. "There are really high stakes in this card game. What were the ways to lose again?" Mao asked, "Either having your lifepoints reduced to zero or having no more cards to draw from your deck." Ryomen answered. "Okay. So there's normal summons where only cards ranked between level one and four can be played normally. There are tribute summons, which are level five through ten, that need one or more cards to be sent to the graveyard to summon. There are special summons that can be summoned by certain card effects. Fusion summons either need a spell card or a card effect. XYZ summons need multiple cards with similar types. Link summons need the matching amount of face-up monsters, equaling the link to be sent to the graveyard. Synchro summons need a face-up tuner monster and a face-up non-tuner monster to be sent to the graveyard. Pendulum summon, you special summon them, and once you have two on the left and right pendulum zones, you can summon any monster between their pendulum levels?" Mao tilted her head.
"Pretty much, though I should probably write down how to summon, along with the rules and card types." Ryomen chuckled, "Yeah. It would be nice to have." Mao smiled. "So, how much longer until we get to school?" Ryomen stuck his hands in his pockets. "It's to the left of this corner," Mao answered. "Alright then," Ryomen said. Let's see how school is in 1965. Especially at an Osaka school, I only went to a Tokyo university when I was thirteen. Ryomen looked around. As they got to the gates of the school, Ryomen noticed the other students staring at them.
The boys are looking at grandma, and the girls are looking at me. We're getting a mix of stares. Attraction from the other genders and envy from the same gender. Ryomen glanced around. "Getting your uniform might be difficult, since it would have to be tailored to fit you." Mao looked over at Ryomen, "Eh, alright. I can handle a bit of a wait." Ryomen stretched. "You can just tell me where to go, I'll see you at lunch, probably." Ryomen looked at Mao, "Are you sure you won't need a guide around the school?" Mao asked. "Yeah, it should be easy to figure out where the key places are. Plus, my schedule will have room numbers on it." Ryomen smirked.

"Okay, see you at lunch. The main office is to the right after the lockers." Mao went ahead of Ryomen, "Got it." Ryomen stuck his hands back into his pockets. I wonder if I'm going to be forced to change today? What am I saying? Of course, I am. The real question is whether I can wear my coat. Ryomen followed Mao's instructions. As Ryomen made his way to the main office, he noticed the increasing number of stares coming his way. This attention feels way more awkward. At least when I went to Tokyo's univeristy, I was getting stares from the students because I was thirteen. This time, I'm the same age as most of them. Ryomen closed his eyes, taking a deep breath before entering the main office.
"Hello, young man. You are Ryomen Hitowari, correct?" The receptionist asked, "Yeah, how do you know?" Ryomen cocked his brow. "Right, sorry, sorry. My name is Hitoshi Tenko. Mrs. Akuzawa gave me your profile when she enrolled you. If you may, please follow me to the back. I'll have a uniform made for you, give you your schedule, and introduce you to your counselor." Hitoshi stepped out from behind the counter. "Okay, do I need to take my coat off?" Ryomen followed Hitoshi, "It would be great." Hitoshi looked over his shoulder.
"This kinda feels like special treatment." Ryomen took his coat off. "It is." Hitoshi laughed. "Ah...welp, what's there to expect when you're me." Ryomen chuckled. "Is this Ryomen, Hitoshi?" "It is, Nanako. Ryomen, this is your counselor. Nanako Shimura." Hitoshi introduced. "Ryomen, why is your chest bandaged?" Nanako walked up to Ryomen, "Don't worry about it, it doesn't hurt." Ryomen waved his hand. "Hmm...an extra large should fit you." Hitoshi held a measuring tape along Ryomen's body. "Really? Can I keep my coat on?" Ryomen asked.
"Sure, I don't see why not. Let me get your uniform and schedule." Hitoshi rummaged through a box of male uniforms. "Here you go." Hitoshi handed Ryomen a black button-up, a dark blue blazer, white pants, brown school shoes, and his schedule. "Thanks." Ryomen turned to leave the main office. Now to change and find. Ryomen checked his schedule. Economics is my first period? Then physics, gym, art theory, statistics, and engineering? The fuck is up with my schedule? Ryomen cocked his brow.
