Chapter 101: The Arena Opens

Bu Lige and the others had been keeping a close eye on Old Bai and Ji Wuhui, curious about how two experts of such high caliber would perform in the Tower of Trials.

However, what they saw on the monitors left them surprised.

“The starting space looks different from yesterday,” Bu Shiyi said, frowning slightly.

Bu Lige nodded. “Yeah, there’s a small tower and a ptform now. I can guess that the small tower is for the Tower of Trials game, but what’s the ptform for?”

By this time, Yao Ziyan had finished her breakfast and overheard their conversation. She walked over to them, her gaze fixed on the screen.

“It is different,” she remarked. “Boss, what’s going on?”

All eyes turned to Luo Chuan.

Calm and composed as always, Luo Chuan said pinly, “As you can see, this is a new mode for the Tower of Trials: Arena Mode. What you’ve been pying so far is called Challenge Mode.”

  “Challenge Mode?”

  “A new mode?”

  “Arena?”

  “Boss, expin more!”

The group stared at Luo Chuan, their curiosity piqued.

Luo Chuan’s expression remained unchanged as he eborated, “The Arena is a pce where pyers can compete against each other. It features various battle modes, including single-pyer, two-pyer, and multipyer battles.”

The group nodded, their excitement growing. The prospect of fair, competitive battles against other cultivators was thrilling to imagine.

Luo Chuan continued, “Each battle in the Arena requires a payment of spirit crystals. For battles in the Mortal Awakening, Spiritual Sense, and Fatebound Ascension realms, the cost is ten spirit crystals. For Soul Dominion, Origin Mastery, and Eminence realm battles, the cost is one hundred spirit crystals. The price is determined by the higher realm of the two participants. If both participants are in the same realm, the lower cost applies. Of course, participants can also choose their preferred realm.”

The group was silent for a moment.

This is just like the boss—always business-minded!

Luo Chuan wasn’t finished. “Additionally, the Arena features a ranking system based on victory points. The pyer ranked first will receive additional pytime in the Tower of Trials as a reward.”

  “Extra pytime?!”

At this, the group’s breathing quickened.

To them, the three hours of Tower of Trials gamepy allowed daily was never enough. It always felt too short—barely enough time to warm up before the session ended. With the shop rules set in stone, they had no choice but to accept it.

But now, with a chance to earn additional time, how could they not be excited?

However, Luo Chuan’s next words dampened their enthusiasm.

“Of course, since there are currently too few pyers, the ranking system is temporarily unavaible,” he said ftly.

“Boss, don’t your conscience hurt when you say stuff like this?!” Bu Lige nearly shouted, throwing his head back in mock despair.

The others could only smile bitterly.

Luo Chuan, as always, remained unmoved.

  ---

Their attention soon shifted as Bu Lige turned to Jiang Shengjun with a competitive gleam in his eye.

“Jiang Shengjun, are you brave enough to fight me?” he challenged.

“Ha! Afraid of you? In your dreams! I’ll knock you around so badly you won’t know which way is up!” Jiang Shengjun retorted, smirking.

Bu Shiyi watched the two bickering and sighed helplessly. She had no intention of fighting them—her strength was far superior, and even with the same realm, the outcome would be a foregone conclusion.

However, the thought of using the Arena to spar with stronger opponents intrigued her.

Her gaze shifted to Old Bai and Ji Wuhui. How would it feel to face cultivators of their caliber?

  ---

Inside the Tower of Trials, Old Bai and Ji Wuhui both selected Arena Mode without hesitation.

Their curiosity was piqued. They wanted to see what this new ptform was all about.

Moments ter, an information panel about Arena Mode appeared before them, outlining the rules and features.

The details matched Luo Chuan’s earlier expnation, and the two of them carefully reviewed the information.

“This looks interesting,” Bai Lao remarked, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.

Ji Wuhui nodded in agreement. “Let’s see what this Arena has to offer.”
