“This is a transmission from Ground Control to the crew aboard spacecraft ELE-SP006. I repeat. This is a transmission from Ground Control to the crew aboard spacecraft ELE-SP006.”
“ELE-SP006 has received the signal. Please proceed.” The unfamiliar man replied.
“At present, the Sun has exploded due to an unknown force. The blast instantly erased the existence of Mercury and Venus, while simultaneously stripping away Earth’s protective magnetic field. Earthquakes, tsunamis, and countless other natural disasters have wiped out all remaining human civilization. We have attempted to contact Earth, but no response has been received. It is highly likely that within mere minutes, radiation from the explosion will reach this L.A.B facility and eliminate the final remnants of life here.”
Her voice carried a quiet sorrow. With her head lowered, Doctor Giáng Tiên bitterly delivered the grim report to the three aboard the ship. After a brief pause, she lifted her gaze and stared straight into the screen. Even with death looming before her, her eyes still held the pride of an unyielding woman.
“That concludes all the information our ground station can provide before spacecraft ELE-SP006 transitions into flight mode. What follows… are my final words, spoken to you not as a scientist – but as myself.”
Behind her, several people clung to one another, sobbing uncontrollably. Some fell to their knees, eyes shut tight, hands clasped in desperate prayer. Others silently held photographs of loved ones, sinking into their final illusions.
And now, in front of the screen, those resolute eyes – once enough to command fear and respect – finally shimmered with the first traces of weakness after so long spent standing strong.
“I’m sorry… I couldn’t give you all a better life. A life like normal children.”
Krrt… krrt krrrt.
The transmission began to destabilize. Alarm sirens screamed, tearing through the air.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
“Run! Run as far away from here as you can! Find a new planet… You must live! You have to live!”
Krrt… krrt krrrt.
A bitter smile curved on her lips.
“Mom… loves you.”
The conversation was cut off repeatedly, leaving behind only flickering signals that faded in and out. A flash of light burst across the screen, followed by a scene straight out of hell. People were being burned alive, their bodies charred as agonized screams pierced through the small display and echoed into the cabin, turning the atmosphere aboard the ship more horrifying than ever. All three seemed to stop breathing, frozen in place as they witnessed what was unfolding right before their eyes. The skin on Doctor Tien’s face gradually blistered and peeled away, exposing large patches of stark white skull beneath—enough to send chills straight down anyone’s spine.
Valentina could no longer endure it. She grabbed both sides of her helmet, desperately trying to tear it off—but to no avail. The pressure locks had automatically sealed shut as the spacecraft pressurized, forcing her to turn away and vomit violently inside. The heat and the pungent, sour smell overwhelmed her, making her dizzy. All her strength drained away in just a few seconds.
At this moment, Tuan finally awoke from the daze that lingered from his interrupted sleep. He jumped up, burst through the door, rushed out of the control room, and ran as fast as he could towards the stern of the ship. Valentina unbuckled her seatbelt, intending to follow him, but the other person grabbed her arm and forced her back into her seat. He pressed a button on the control panel, and the compartment door slowly closed. In just a few minutes, the spaceship would reach the acceleration gate and enter high-speed flight. If Valentina didn't stay seated, the inertial force would fling her off the floor and put her in grave danger. It was already too late to stop him now.
Tuan rushed headlong toward the stern of the ship. The increasing concentration of G.o.D made his body feel as though he were walking along the ocean floor. He switched off the gravity mode on his boots and let himself float forward. The main gate soon came into view, with a small circular window embedded at its center, offering a glimpse of the outside world. When Tuan reached it, he saw that the dark universe beyond had been replaced by a colossal sphere of light, stretching its radiant arms across space. Mars – only minutes ago a planet teeming with life – was now nothing more than a dead planet. Tuan pounded on the door, kicking it with all the strength he had left. He believed that if it would just open, everything would return to how it once was. The Doctor would reappear and greet him with a warm, sunny smile, welcoming him back into her embrace.
“That’s right. This is all just a dream. None of this can possibly be real.” Tuan murmured to himself.
