Dranexx and Akube head back to the guild.
“We’re here,” Akube said casually.
Asunal looked up.
“Welcome back Mr. Akube, Mr. Dranexx… how did your first quest go?”
Akube smirked, bragging already.
“You know… it was pretty easy. We caught a lot of Emperor Sky Dragons.”
Asunal burst into laughter.
“Hahaha! You’re a good joker. Emperor Sky Dragons are extremely rare. Even one is S Rank+. Defeating a bunch of them? No way.”
Dranexx stepped forward calmly.
“It’s true. We can show you.”
Asunal blinked. “Wait… are you serious?”
Dranexx: “Yes.”
“Unveil.”
Instantly, dozens of massive Emperor Sky Dragon corpses filled the hall.
Asunal: “W-Wha… Wha… WHAT?! This can’t be real…!”
Akube: “Here are mine too.”
More bodies dropped.
Asunal staggered back. “I must be dreaming… yes, this is an illusion…”
Dranexx looked at her coldly.
“Then snap out of it. We really defeated them.”
Akube shrugged.
“They were too easy. We even had to limit our attacks so we wouldn’t destroy the forest.”
Asunal: “W-Wait here! I’m getting the Guildmaster!”
Both: “Alright.”
Akube chuckled. “She’s terrified. Looks like these dragons are a big deal.”
Dranexx sighed. “Tell me about it. I tried keeping a low profile… damn. I guess I went overboard with excitement. And it’s your fault, Aku.”
Akube: “Hey! You accepted the quest too. Don’t blame me, bro.”
The Guildmaster
Asunal returned with the Guildmaster.
Guildmaster: “So you two are the new A-Rank adventurers”
He froze.
“Oh my goodness… these are S Rank+ Emperor Sky Dragons… how powerful are you two?”
Dranexx shrugged.
“We’re weak. I only defeated 68. That’s a lowball feat for me.”
Akube snapped.
“65! You stole three of my prey. Anyway, I defeated 52. Would’ve been 55 if this jerk didn’t interfere.”
The Guildmaster stared at them in disbelief.
“We’ll need three days to process all of this. You’ll receive additional rewards after extraction of rare materials. For now… follow me.”
Promotion
Inside the office.
Guildmaster:
You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author.
“I must admit… qualifying as A-Rank on registration is already rare. But defeating 120 S Rank+ monsters on your first quest? The entire kingdom will talk about this.”
Dranexx (thinking): We went too far…
Akube: “About our reward?”
Guildmaster: “200 gold coins each for now. The rest in three days.”
Both: “200 gold?!”
Guildmaster: “May I have your Adventurer cards?”
They handed them over.
When he returned
Dranexx: “Wait… S Rank?”
Akube: “Are you serious?!”
Guildmaster: “Yes. Honestly, you two are far stronger than you think.”
Both (thoughts): We know. And we need to restrain ourselves.
They left the guild.
Akube grinned. “Three days from now we’ll be rich.”
Dranexx smirked. “Let’s eat first.”
Outside the Kingdom of Nacia
Outside the undefeated Kingdom of Nacia, a massive army approached.
Two figures walked at the front.
Army Leader:
“Nacia believes they are the strongest. Tonight, they fall.”
Enemy 1 laughed.
“If this is boring, I swear I’ll snack on someone.”
Enemy 2 replied calmly.
“I investigated two days ago. No one worthy except the Syria Knight Captain. He might entertain me.”
Enemy 1: “The captain is mine.”
Enemy 2: “Fine.”
They Notice
Dranexx paused mid-walk.
“These people really think they’ll win…?”
Akube narrowed his eyes.
“You sensed them too? Damn it… I thought I was ahead of you.”
Dranexx smirked. “You wish.”
Akube sighed. “Do we have to?”
Dranexx: “Yes. Those two are strong. One is an Oni-King. The other is a high-tier Mage.”
Akube: “The Oni is stronger. I’ll take him.”
Dranexx: “No. He’s mine.”
Instant movement.
Dranexx vanished.
Dranexx vs Oni-King
Dranexx appeared before them.
“Mind if we join? You seem eager for blood.”
Enemy 2 narrowed his eyes.
“You know my race… intriguing. I’ll grant you a 1v1.”
Dranexx: “Don’t bore me.”
Oni-King roared.
“Dark Infernal!”
Space-burning black flames surged forward a Unique Ability blessed by the Grandmaster of Amatarsu. Flames that burn through space itself. S Rank+ annihilation.
Dranexx snapped.
The flames vanished.
Oni-King: “What?!”
Dranexx: “Was that it?”
“Horn Resonance!”
A beam gathered continent-level destruction.
Snap.
Gone.
Oni-King trembled. “How are you cancelling my attacks?!”
Dranexx’s eyes glowed.
“As long as your power is governed by this world’s system… you’re beneath me. My Ultimate Skill — Authority Over Ruin — deletes and overrides.”
“I observed you. Two Unique Abilities: King Shamar and Resolved. Mediocre.”
Oni-King froze. “How do you know—”
Dranexx laughed coldly.
“I already devoured them.”
Snap.
They were now in space.
The planet below.
Dranexx activated:
“Horn Resonance.”
The exact same technique.
The beam obliterated the Oni-King shattering seven stars in the process.
Shockwaves rippled across Earth.
Dranexx looked down.
“…Oops. That was too much.”
Akube vs Mage
Akube sighed.
“That guy is too extra.”
Mage smirked.
“When you were distracted, I activated ‘Ashfall Meteor’ and ‘Core Concealment.’ It’s over.”
Akube’s eyes turned cold.
“Absolute Refined.”
Instantly, the spell cores were erased.
Mage: “What I’m disappearing?!”
Akube:
“The moment you faced me, your fate was sealed. Complete erasure. No reincarnation. No resurrection.”
“You don’t belong here.”
The Mage disintegrated completely.
Akube turned away calmly.
“If there’s anyone stronger out there… I’ll find them.”
Dranexx appeared behind him.
“Blah blah. Are you done?”
Akube: “Let me finish my cold speech!”
Dranexx grinned. “Let’s go before I erase your concept.”
Akube froze. “You can?!”
Dranexx laughed. “Relax. I’d never harm you.”
Akube smirked. “Good. Because I don’t want to be on your bad side either.”
They walked back toward Nacia.
“Just a warm-up,” Akube said.
Dranexx nodded. “Yeah.”
Somewhere Beyond Realms…
A mysterious figure watched from another dimension.
“Oh my… what calamity have we brought into this world?”
“Akube is dangerous… but Dranexx…”
“He sealed his own skills even after receiving blessings from the Grandmaster of Pure Magic.”
“Why would someone that powerful limit himself?”
A slow, eerie laugh echoed.
“How interesting…”
“Someday… I will challenge him.”
“Hahahahahaha…”
