The ceremony to Perfection

The stormy clouds cloak the sky in darkness, thunder echoes through them once.

Kaduri's fingers tangled with each other as his intertwined hands rested between his slightly parted legs.

Kaduri's head is leaning against the vibrating side window, his eyes fixed on the world beyond. "This is bad, it might start raining before we reach" Kaduri's attention dragged towards his Mother sitting beside him, her eyes locked on the front window, he turns his head towards his Father "It doesn't affect the ceremony right?...

  I heard they never close."

The sound of a roaring engine echoes as the car's headlights reveal the straight lane ahead, darkness covering its surroundings as it pushes forward.

"Yes, they don't. It will cause a lot of fuss if they do," Kaduri's Father replies, his hands holding the steering wheel firmly. Kaduri nods, a glint of curiosity and interest in his eyes as he looks at His Father's seat.

Kaduri gulps as he looks at his Father's seat, a hint of fear in his eyes. The inhalation of thunder is distant, and the turbulent clouds promise rain.

"What happens when someone doesn't get the Hoteps?"

The question hung like a faraway string, nothing but the sound of a growling engine audible, Kaduri's Mother looked at Kaduri, her gaze one of confusion behind her own Hoteps lens, Kaduri's Father's grip tenses on the steering wheel, his knuckles turned white, his eyebrows twitch above the frame of his Hoteps, thunder roars outside as if the world itself demands for an answer.

Streams of people revolve as light escapes from the inviting entrance gates. The logo of Hoteps glows brightly atop, its background a perfect lit circle. The facility is a glowing lamp in the dark and stormy night.

The sound of indistinct chatter and soft chuckles blends with the ambient hum of footsteps as Kaduri follows his Parents through the horde of people, his gaze following their activity.

Kaduri's Father fixes his hotep's frame, his eyes observing around.

The Sharp sound clinking of glass audible as Kaduri sits on the chair, his posture slightly leaning back. The doctor's gloved hand reaches for a Hotep in a container filled with aligned Hoteps. He stops upon reaching one. "So, Kaduri huh?" Kaduri looks at the doctor, adjusting to his seat. "Y-yeah," the doctor looks at Kaduri over his shoulder, his face devoid of any Hoteps frame, concealed by a surgical mask, "what do you think about Familiari's?" Kaduri drifts his gaze back towards the floor "Well, I'm curious about them, and a little scared...why?" The doctor's eyes narrow. He slides the crate aside, tilting upward to reach another crate. "Nothing, just curious." The doctor holds the Hoteps up, examining its lenses, "okay, here."

It was time, the Hotep's frame approached his eyes, second by second, narrowing and blurring his original vision. Outside, the drizzle had already started to pour down, placing soggy points on the road surface. The Hotep's frame almost approached Kaduri's face, the doctor's lips forming a smile gradually.

  A digital beep.

Kaduri's eyes flutter open, the Hoteps frame complementing his face as he stays still. Kaduri looks around. His vision is crystal clear. The doctor stands smiling, his eyes narrowed as he looks at Kaduri.
