Chapter 49 A Week
It's been a week now, and the big boss has always had a tight face on, making everyone in the group feel anxious.
Tōno Kū bumped into someone next to him: "Boss, you haven't been home for a week, have you?"
Gong Yunxiu glared at him: "Don't you know?"
Tong Yu raised an eyebrow, gesturing for him to continue, but he pouted and started fiddling with his phone, ignoring his words.
"How am I supposed to know? He won't even tell me where he's going to sleep..."
"Oh, I thought he slept with you..." Gong Yunxiu said casually.
"Has your sister-in-law's foot healed?"
"Why didn't you just call and ask her directly?" Gong Yunxiu showed him extreme disdain.
"...I'm also afraid of Vietnam..." Fujiwara struggled for half a day to squeeze out this one sentence, but it ended up making Miya Yoshihiro burst out laughing.
"What's so funny?" Mei Ying's voice floated in from outside the door, followed by her appearance in a black lace short-sleeved top and black trousers.
"Good morning, beautiful..." Gong Yunxiu smiled brightly and patted the seat next to him, gesturing for Meiying to sit down. However, she looked at him, then glanced at the closed door, from which faint sounds of things being thrown around could be heard. She turned her head towards Teng Ying: "Who's getting dumped?"
"Foreign Enterprise Department Manager..."
"Oh... then I won't go in, you two can help me send this file in later... uh, where are you going..." Meiying's words were not yet finished, when the two people who had been sitting there quietly suddenly jumped up from the sofa at the same time and disappeared through the doorway.
"We still have things to discuss..." A voice came from outside the door, and Meiying couldn't help but shake her head. When she turned around again, the door to the CEO's office opened, and the foreign affairs manager came out with a dejected look on his face. He glanced at her, then quickly lowered his head and hurried away.
She went in, Cang Mu was standing by the window looking outside, and didn't ask who the person coming in was. Perhaps after so many years, he had long been able to recognize her footsteps, but even if that's the case, what does it matter? They were just two parallel lines anyway.
She silently put things on the desktop, looked at his back for a moment, didn't say anything, turned around and was about to leave, but heard him speak: "Replace me with Diana..."
Diana, the governor's daughter of New York State, with a face like a star and a devilish figure, has been looking for him three times since she saw Cang Mu at a party last year. He has always maintained his usual coldness, turning her down nine out of ten times, and avoiding her once.
They just thought it was a joke, but Diana seemed to not give up, still unyielding, and still came to the door. Until Cang Mu got married, she seemed to have really given up, and never appeared again.
But if he makes an appointment this time, then she will really have no way out.
"Why?" Mei Ying asked from behind him.
Or could it be that the charming shadow who always listened to him would actually question his words? He turned around, his handsome eyebrows furrowed tightly: "What why?"
"You're married..." She gazed at him, calmly reminding him.
He smiled: "Mèi Yǐng, I don't need you to remind me..."
