Spoiler Alert - The overall cavern location first shows up in the first book, The Hammer, in chapter 26. The specific locations in the City of Kadir come into play in the rest of the story.

  I have no idea how I came up with the name "Kadir" for the first cavern Corvan discovers. Later, I checked the word online to make sure it wasn't something weird and found it means "powerful". I thought that fit well since Kadir does happened to be the source of the River Cor.

  When I began writing this story I utilized a 3D modelling program called Sketchup to work out the distances in the cavern and city so that Corvan's movements in this strange new land would make logistical sense. At first the initial Sketchup map was relatively small as Chapter 26 is less than 10% of the way into the Cor Series as a whole. The overall map of the Cor becomes much larger as we move along. Kadir will remain an anchor point throughout the development of the story as it is the location of the portal back to Corvan's home town.
