Chapter 15
Titan was carried inside his home by Charlies and up into Titan’s bedroom.
He was laid on the bed. Charlie turned to go.
“Did you kill the Psi that was working with the fire wizards?” Titan asked quietly.
Charlie sighed and grabbed a chair from beside Titan’s desk. He sat down as Caroline came into the room with a dinner tray of meats and sandwiches.
“No. I didn’t. I didn’t even know there was a psi class there. How did you know?” Charlie said.
Caroline smiled at Titan and helped started making him a heavy beefy sanwench.
“He or she blinded my eyes. I was fighting against a fire wizard with a gun.” He said.
Caroline frowned but she said nothing.
Charlie stared at him. “So. They blinded your mind a bit. Did they do anything else to your mind?”
Titan shook his head. “No. It was weird but I didn’t need to see their faces. I was hyper focused on getting the dagger.” He said and then took a sandwich and started eating quickly.
Charlie smiled. “How did you get past the wall of monsters at the entrance?”
Titan frowned. “I skipped past them using the daggers as a focus marker for my mind to teleport over them.”
Charlie nodded his head. He held up M1P9. “You dropped this. Ronald said you used it.” He said.
Titan sighed and took it, setting it down. “Yeah. Damned thing didn’t work well enough against the fire wizard.” He said.
Charlie frowned and tapped a finger to his chin. “That’s bad.”
“Fire bullets don’t work against fire wizards especially when they're at rank five.” Caroline said gently.
Titan frowned and chewed on his next sandwich.
“What’s wrong honey?” Caroline asked.
“So earth bullets would work better or water bullets against a fire wizard?” Titan said.
“Correct.” Caroline said with a nod. “But still that type of weapon is better used as a means of escape.”
Titan shook his head. “There is so much bullshit and strategies to learn. Do all the Psi turn into mind violators?”
Charlie sighed and smiled. He leaned back in his seat and folded his arms together.
“Are you interested in fucking with people’s minds? Is that why you got into dungeon crawling?”
Titan frowned. “I got into this shit for the money. I got done with this job. I’ll deliver the daggers to the client and get more jobs like this one.”
Charlie pointed a finger at Titan. “Focus. That’s your talent. People get distracted by a lot shit.”
Titan frowned chewing his sanwench until he ate it down. “Your saying some Psi use their powers just to fuck with people over getting paid?”
Both Charlie and Caroline snorted. Titan stared at them shaking his head.
“Shit! I don’t believe it.” Titan said shaking his head.
“Titan. Some Psi have a desire to prove how special they are.” Charlie said and paused because Titan started laughing.
Caroline motioned with a hand for Charlie to continued.
“Anyway. Psi are rare. They like using and testing their powers against other magic users and Psi to prove they have big their balls.”
“Charlie. Stop it.” Caroline said hitting his shoulder.
Titan was laughing hard now.
Charlie held up his hands. “What? Am I lying though? You know that’s what it is. They’re focus is about becoming stronger to prove they have the biggest balls.”
“Holy shit. Damn. I can’t bro. That’s not the reason I want to become stronger.” Titan said.
“What’s the reason for you?” Caroline asked.
Titan shrugged and reclined back in bed. “If I become stronger then I make more money to help my family. I also become more attractive to the woman I like. That’s how I win.”
Charlie smiled and reached over and rubbed Titan’s head.

“You were really moving in that dungeon. Every step was purposeful. You should have seen the look on your face. There was nothing that was going to distract you.”
Titan held up the daggers. “I got them, Charlie. I got them. On the first go.” He said.
Charlie nodded his head. “Yes you did. It was a rough one but you beat the dungeon and those assholes that got there first. How did that last run to the exit feel?”
Titan closed his eyes. “My vision tunneled. The only thing I was focused on was getting to the exit. Everything became fuzzy. I knew what to do and I knew nothing mattered but to get the win. The Rush was on me.”
“The Rush! Is that what you call it?” Charlie said.
Titan opened his eyes. “Yeah. Everything is clear. I have to push myself until I win. Nothing and no one is going to get in my way. It’s the Rush.”
Caroline’s eyes glittered with a magical sparkle. She smiled and started making Titan another sanwench before handing it to him.
Titan took it with a nod of thanks and started eating. He took two bites and he started to yawn. He set the sandwich down.
“Alright. Time to sleep Titan.” Caroline said gently.
“Titan, do you want me to talk to Rick and do the hand off and get your fee?” Charlie asked.
Titan yawned, handing the daggers over to Charlie. He rolled over on his side and quickly fell asleep.
….
Titan came awake fast coming to stand on his feet with his weapon in hand. He was dressed in his black silk pajamas. His door opened soundlessly. He stood watching.
A man in a mask showed his face and froze at the sight of Titan silently watching him with a weapon in his hand.
The man ran slamming the door behind him. Titan got to his door, opened it and saw the masked man being grabbed around the waist by Charlie and slammed to the floor. Charlie got on top of the masked man but then he was flung off by an invisible force.
Titan appeared behind the masked man and put a blade to masked man’s neck. The man froze.
“Take the sword from my neck and walk away. DO IT NOW!”
Titan felt an energy punch his mind but he tightened his hold on his weapon. Titan felt blood flow down from his nose.
Titan's focus ability activated and his attention hyper focused on one strong thought. He could not allow him to live. He would protect what belonged to him.
[Protect the family.]
Titan's focus blocked out the energy attacking his mind.
“You shouldn’t have come here shit head.” He said quietly.
Caroline appeared in front of the masked man. “Honey, could you give him to me?” She said quietly.
Titan removed his Axiom Edge from the masked man’s neck. Caroline took hold of the masked man with magic and slammed the masked man to the floor.
The masked man screamed as the sound of bones breaking were heard.
“Release me. Now!”
The masked man was released suddenly. He started to rise pushing Caroline aside with his hand.
Charlie stood in place froze. His body shook.
Titan stabbed the Masked Man’s leg suddenly twisting the blade as the Masked man screamed out into a high pitched voice of terror.
The Axiom Blade glowed Aqua blue in the dim light of the living room as it’s master’s need to destroy the enemy feed the weapon’s power.
"Yeah. That's right bitch. That's music to my ears." Titan said coldly.
The masked man screamed on and on as he lay on the floor. He hollered in pain until Charlie picked up a chair and broke it on the masked man.
Titan released the blade from the masked man’s leg and wiped his weapon on the back of his enemy.
“Titan. Are you alright?” Charlie asked.
Titan sighed. “No. Why do they keep coming here to where my family sleeps?”
He looked up freezing at the sighed of Kristy on the steps of the stairs.
Kristy flinched back at his stare. She brought a hand to her chest.
Titan covered a hand over his eyes. “Kristy. You shouldn’t be down here.” He said with his head down and tripped falling to the floor.
“Shit! He’s crashing fast.” Charlie said.
Caroline hugged Titan around the waist pulling to her. “Kristy. Go up stairs now. Don’t come out until I tell you.” She ordered.
Titan’s face was covered in sweat as Caroline laid him down gentle. “My head is pounding.” Titan said.
“Charlie. Get that piece of shit out of my house. I have to take care of Titan. He’s about to crash to hard this time.”
Titan closed his eyes and fell into darkness.
…
Titan opened his eyes when he smelled food and rich honey. Glenda smiled down at him dabbing a wet rag on his face.
He felt warm energy on his chest where her hand touched his naked chest.
“I knew it was time for you to wake up. Time for you to eat.” Glenda said.
He glanced around her body to see his mother carrying a breakfast tray of food.
Caroline had dark circles under her eyes but she smiled at him as she placed the tray on the bed next to him.
Caroline picked up a fork and started feeding him cut up sausage. He smiled as he chewed the food.
“I’m sorry. I made you worry.” He said in quiet voice.
Caroline shook her head. “No. You just needed rest. A lot of rest.”
Titan looked at Glenda. “So you’re here.” He said.
Glenda nodded with a small smile. Her hand rubbed his chest in small circles.
“Yes I am. Your uncle Charlie contacted me for assistance so of course I came to help out.” She said.
Titan chuckled. “Yeah. So what happened to me?” He said.
Glenda blinked and stared at him. “You needed rest as your mother said. You have been working consistently since your first dungeon. Your body needs time to regenerate.”
“Regenerate?! Don’t you mean heal?” Titan said.
Glenda shook her head. “I meant regenerate. You’re a rogue with acquired Psi class powers. You expend a lot of energy in your pursuits.” She said.
Titan stared at her. “Interesting way to put it. Are you saying I stole Psi class abilities from someone or something.”
Caroline was silent as she feed Titan and watched the by play between them.
Glenda grinned. “You tested for a rogue class. A normal understandable class that fits you but the system gave you a Psi class to aid that fit with your needs.”
Titan straightened and sat up further against his head board. “The test you gave me what does it measure again? What is it’s purpose?”
Glenda nodded her head, lifting her hand away from his chest.
“It measures the character, personality and choices of dungeon crawler to make a determination of your personal class only.” Glenda said.
Titan pointed to her. “You designed the test based on statistical analysis and pattern recognition. Correct?”
Glenda sat up and studied him. “Yes. What do you think of my approach to testing personality skills?”
