Chapter 44. A Terrifying Single Blow

The Skeleton Golem struck toward him once again with tremendous force.

Even though the simple punch did not hit Subedei directly, the airflow from it was like being struck, and a powerful wind blew toward him.

Subedei was surprised for a moment before quickly dodging the attack.

Since he had canceled his skills when the previous fight ended, he now used them again.

Subedei became much stronger than before. Thinking he could now damage the giant skeleton, he stabbed its arm once again.

The spear pierced the Skeleton Golem’s arm, but it only left a faint mark.

Seeing this, Subedei happily looked toward the giant skeleton’s head.

He knew very well that skeletons would not die unless their skulls were crushed.

He immediately jumped onto the giant skeleton’s arm and stabbed its head with all his strength.

He left a small scratch on its skull, but Subedei did not give up and continued stabbing.

Suddenly, a strong wind blew from behind him. Realizing what was happening, he immediately jumped upward to dodge.

At that moment, the giant skeleton slammed its own head heavily and fell backward, raising clouds of dust and smoke as it hit the ground.

Subedei seized the opportunity and quickly ran to stab the skeleton’s head.

When he got close and looked at it, he saw that the skull had cracked from the blow it gave itself.

Subedei was delighted and discovered a more effective method.

Without wasting time, he began stabbing the cracked part of the giant skeleton’s skull with his spear.

Eventually, the Skeleton Golem trembled and slowly began to rise.

Subedei quickly grabbed onto the giant skeleton and held his position.

It seemed the Skeleton Golem noticed him and began violently shaking its head.

Since Subedei was holding tightly onto its skull, he did not fall easily.

When the Skeleton Golem finally stopped shaking, Subedei braced himself against several pieces of bone with one hand and continued stabbing the cracked area with his spear.

The Skeleton Golem slowly raised its arm again and struck toward Subedei.

However, Subedei jumped away and dodged the attack, causing the Skeleton Golem to hit itself again.

His plan had been working from the start.

This time, even after striking itself, the Skeleton Golem did not fall, but it lost its balance and staggered slightly.

The cracked area of its skull deepened, and small fragments of bone fell to the ground.

Subedei quickly jumped up, grabbed onto the bones of its face, and began stabbing its skull forcefully.

Perhaps because it was already cracked, he managed to create a small hole in its skull.

Just as he felt pleased, a strong wind suddenly blew from behind him. It was like being struck by the airflow of an attack, and Subedei hurriedly dodged.

He thought the Skeleton Golem had injured itself again, so he looked toward its head.

The hole in its skull had grown larger, and the cracks had spread further.

However, suddenly the bones lying on the ground moved through the Skeleton Golem’s body and rapidly repaired its head.

In the end, the Skeleton Golem quickly returned to its original state as if nothing had happened.

Subedei stared at the Skeleton Golem silently in surprise for a moment.

Finally, a faint whisper escaped his mouth.

“Does that mean this giant skeleton can’t be killed?”

But he did not give up easily.

  “No.”

“There has to be some way.”

At that moment, the Skeleton Golem raised its enormous arm and prepared to strike toward Subedei.

Subedei quickly saw the attack and jumped upward to dodge.

As the Skeleton Golem’s strike passed directly beneath him, Subedei landed on its arm.

He quickly moved closer to its head and began stabbing with his spear.

He struck the same spot several times, leaving small cracks in the bone.

  Subedei was surprised.

Before, his attacks had only left small scratches, but now they were leaving cracks.

The Skeleton Golem quickly raised its arm and struck toward him again.

Subedei quickly jumped away and landed on the ground.

The Skeleton Golem ended up striking itself once more and collapsed onto the ground.

Dust rose everywhere, and the Skeleton Golem became faintly visible through the haze.

Subedei began to understand what had happened.

When the Skeleton Golem regenerated its head, its defense seemed to have weakened.

Realizing there was a chance, he calmed himself and walked toward the Skeleton Golem.

The Skeleton Golem was slowly rising again.

Subedei moved quickly. Before it could fully stand, he jumped onto its head and thrust his spear down with all his strength.

Because the Skeleton Golem had struck itself earlier, the small space from its mouth to its eyes had shattered, and most of the bones of its skull were cracked.

When Subedei stabbed his spear into the center of its forehead, the rising golem collapsed again.

The spear pierced straight through the Skeleton Golem’s skull, leaving a hole.

When Subedei tried to pull his spear back out, it was tightly stuck in the Skeleton Golem’s head.

Thinking the Skeleton Golem might finally be dead, Subedei looked at its eyes.

The blue flames inside them had turned red.

It seemed the Skeleton Golem had become enraged.

Subedei immediately let go of the spear, jumped backward, and distanced himself from the Skeleton Golem.

Compared to before, the Skeleton Golem seemed lighter and faster as it easily rose to its feet.

As it stood up, the skeletons lying on the ground moved through its body and instantly healed its head.

It seemed to be repairing the hole left by the spear. Bones moved around the spear, surrounding it.

At that moment, the spear began to crack as it was tightly compressed from all sides.

Subedei could only stand there watching, unable to do anything.

Finally, after seeing Subedei, the Skeleton Golem raised its arm and charged straight toward him.

Indeed, the Skeleton Golem had become much faster. Subedei barely managed to dodge the strike.

After seeing that attack, Subedei felt his hope of victory begin to disappear.

While he was lost in thought, another sudden strike came from the side.

Feeling a fierce wind blowing toward him, he quickly realized what was coming and immediately jumped.

  But he was too late.

He could not dodge the Skeleton Golem’s attack.

While he was midair, the powerful strike hit him.

Unable even to defend himself, he was struck with immense force. Blood burst from his mouth as he was sent flying backward and crashed into a dead tree.

He stopped only after leaving a deep hole in the dead tree.
