Despite......... delays the personal housing was done. Creigs had been expanded from its' original design, owing to the two spirits now following him, it wasn't an excessively big expansion, just two rooms. Nates' had a communication disc on top, an interpol uplink. Rosas' was more pokemon friendly, it supported her desire to become a licensed nurse. Crieg had been concerned about excessive personalization, but he was pushed back by the fact that he and Nate needed the security and Rosas' was a good thing to experiment with since more might be created in such form in the future. They were all two stories with basement, about six men shoulder to shoulder in the front, about ten down the side. They were arrayed somewhat like a chinese pavilion, Creigs' to the north, Rosas' the west, Nates' the east, to the south was a community/security building that acted as "entrance" to the pavilion, with the middle having a gazebo with panels that could turn it into a building.
Approaching Rosas' there was a covered patio, with den/tunnels under it that wrapped all the way around. The front door opened to a mudroom, a feature all the accommodations had, which for some reason wasn't standard in the pokemon world?, which had a sliding double door which led to two different rooms, one the living room, the other the laundry room. Rosas' was extra large, cutting down the side of the house with ways for pokemon to get in, and wash stations, some of the outside walls were shutters, and the upper half of the living room wall could be opened to become a place Rosa could check on the pokemon from. There was also basement and second floor access for anything about or less than medium sized. The living room was rather cramped, space sacrificed for the mud room, a computer/TV was built into the corner wall shared with the storage room, which was also smaller and accessible from the mudroom, and the kitchen wall. The couch was sectioned pleather, fluffy, and normal, which would offer both Rosa and pokemon a variety of sitting options, the storage also had its own cooler for certain medicines. The Laundry room was just as big as it needed to be, the kitchen, basic but comfortable, with a stairwell in the room behind. Her basement was an open affair, with padded floors to make it easier for visiting pokemon to lay at rest. Upstairs had a square for privacy reasons, a door leading to her bedroom, another the bath. From her bedroom was a walk-in closet and study, which also had bathroom access, these were also smaller for a wrap-around terrace, more designed for bird pokemon.
Nates' was more standard, but his basement was a mini server room in the middle with file cabinets around the outer walls. Rather than a walk-in closet he had a secure room and a study. He also had roof access to do maintenance on his roof dish, with a protected extra phone/computer. There wasn't really anything special here.
Criegs was extra thick, to make up for thicker walls, part of security. The inside locks were heavy, but not the outside, partly because Crieg didn't want lots of trouble getting in, partially because the protection wasn't needed if he wasn't in. There was also in/out soundproofing, meaning he could speak in confidence inside, or not hear reporters if any came when/if they learned of him. His kitchen room and his closet and his study were switched at his request. He wanted to not go up and down the stairs if he was staying in, better to have the necessities in one place, when he came in he could dump everything downstairs and take what he wanted upstairs. There were T.V.s' inset in the bedroom and bathroom walls, so he could watch news or training vids to learn more of the world, mostly. His basement was a reinforced training center, for him and his pokemon. A spire with its own basement was attached like a chimney just behind the bedroom corner of the dorm. The above ground portion was for Evgryt, and the basement for Fursry, Fursrys' part was pretty much just a naturalistic mausoleum. Evgryts' part, while still two stories, was split into four parts, it was a bit like a doll house, which worked because of how small she was.
They weren't dream homes, but they were relaxing, having personal space was like that. Toboggan had learned rollout finally, so the training room would get some use, Creig had the idea to shoot powder snow while rolling, it would have to be in reverse which would take practice. To an extent he could even choose his own food, though it seemed prepared meals would still be a thing for the most part, but if they saw something they didn't like on the schedule they could make their own, or if they needed to take leftovers in their own time. Creig realized that he could get his own clothes now too which meant a shopping trip was in order.

Rosa hadn't even thought about shopping till Creig brought it up, Nate had declined to come since, at least in terms of clothes, he had custom ones from interpol that had defenses and gadgets imbued. Creig tried to ignore how bouncy she was in her excitement, her enthusiasm was a weight pressing uncomfortably against him, he did enjoy the idea of self expression through "fashion", he just didn't get an adrenal surge from it. Most places were light T-shirts and shorts, which was fine for Rosa, she got a couple outfits and some swimwear, Creig had to find a specialty store to find something. A few pairs of black cargo pants, several longsleeves, a coat that was thick but not puffy, and two pair of gloves, half-hand sports and full that could be worn over others. He would look online for better, but for now it was better than the donations he had been wearing.
While out and about they saw the beginnings of Team Skull, though it was different than what it would have been. It was mostly younger kids sticking together as a support group, the older kids who felt that what happened was unjust were forming a different group. One group was bound by mutual grief, the other by false righteousness. The younger kids got some looks, but people made an effort to get over themselves and help the young kids who needed moral example and compassion to grow well. People weren't sure what to do about the older kids, not that they could do anything, to receive help a person needed to be willing to listen first.
After the clothes shopping they looked at a trainer supply store. They would both have to save up for a bag, but they did grab some potion and Creig got a couple pokeballs. Rosa got a new product, a band for pokemon that would prevent them from being captured in pokeballs, so now pet pokemon had some protection. They also got the basic grooming kits that were specialized only by type, the extra special ones had to be ordered in and cost too much for now. Creig found some decent, but not too expensive poketreats that they both got as well.
They didn't do much in the way of grocery shopping other than to get some drinks, juice and a bit of soda. Creig had to remind Rosa not to go crazy on sweets. Creig picked up some basic sandwich material for now, rather than get something complicated.
When not concentrated on shopping there was some light chatter about updates on the League and world events. Giovanni was officially a spook now, the Indigo Investigation Unit, and announced that after a couple years he would no longer be a gym leader. Plasma was pretty much in civil war now, with proof of Ghestiss' wrong doing and N talking to those who could be reasoned with. Many were like Rosa, moving to jobs that assessed and helped pokemon health and welfare properly, having realized that the had been forcing their own ideals upon them. Though it did seem that they had convinced N to aim for champion in the proper way, with Juniper picking him up as one of her sponsored. Rosa wondered why, and Creig could only suppose that it was for power over policy and education, having a say as it could be said. Ash, that wacky kid, had picked up his third gym badge, which after three months showed how slow he actually moved through the region, though he obviously saw more than others. Oak would praise the amount of data Ash got with his thorough exploration of the region in the occasional talks Creig had with the man. It looked like Brock and Misty had properly joined him in his adventures. Creig had spotted Jesse and James in the crowd for Ashs' Cerulean challenge, so they were also still around, and seemed to be doing well. Galars' energy research program was showing results, since water pokemon could create waves, wave generators could be put in indoor pools creating a source of clean energy, geothermal collection and a few others were still in the works.
The most covered on the news was the opening of Paldea, and its internal problems. The censor of professors, Exceed corp. attempting dangerous experiments with unstable elements. Paradox experiments were taking place, but far more controlled, the pokemon brought through cared for instead of just randomly rampaging. Brute Bonnet had caught Rosas' attention because it was a variant of Foongis' kind, she found Fluttermane and Screamtail cute. Creig like the Iron variants more, but also liked Fluttermane as well, though he felt it was cool more-so than cute, he did see the potential though. The school was being opened for trial foreign students.
Eventually they returned to the dorms, having had a decent time out. Sitting in their gazebo was an unexpected visitor, with a glance Creig guessed it was for personal business. That being due to the fact that the person sitting there was Bruno of Kantos' elite four, an air of non-hostile violence emanated from him.
