Age 19
---
After the awful, devastating, unfortunate accident that happened to my dearest Ms. Kathy, I left the state with Amy’s wallet. Followed by her daddy’s credit card.
To Ohio.
Disappeared without a trace.
As for Amy, I decided not to roast her. I settled for something less… dramatic.
I remembered one of the stories Mother used to tell me. About Bloodvex.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
In this one, he found a girl named Elizabeth. Said he fell in love with her at first sight.
He didn’t stalk her—no, that’s too crude. He watched her. Made sure she got home safe. Killed her boyfriend. As he should’ve.
Then one night, he cornered her in an alley. Knocked her out. Took her back to his hideout.
He called it his carving station.
Laid her on a long metal table. Undressed her. Strung her up like a marionette.
But this time, he didn’t reach for the knife. Not right away.
Usually, Captain Allstar would show up before Bloodvex drained the bodies. But not this time.
This time, he just… watched her. Admired how perfectly carvable she was.
---
When Elizabeth came to, she screamed. Cried. Begged.
Bloodvex didn’t like that part. Said it ruined the symmetry.
So he silenced her.
Mother said he used his hands. Said he made her quiet in a way no one else could.
She always got so detailed with these stories. I used to think she was disturbed. Now I think she was just honest.
---
Afterward, he let Elizabeth go.
Blind. Naked. In the snow.
He figured she deserved a fighting chance.
She ran. Screamed.
But the woods don’t echo back.
After an hour, there was only silence.
He didn’t bother retrieving her. He already knew.
He left her for the wolves.
———
As for Amy… well. That story’s still unfolding. But I gave her a fighting chance too.
