We start 15 years ago in a Elven town called Rafa Alora. Ilyanna who is seven at this point in time, is playing with four other elvish kids her age. They are just outside the town with the mother of one of the kids watching them. Surrounding the town is a forest.
"Ilyanna I can't believe you actually beat your brother in the race yesterday" one of the kids said.
"Yeah that was awesome, can't believe you beat someone twice your age" another kid said.
"Well that's what happens when you are the best kid in the family" Ilyanna gleefully said with a huge smirk.
"Still can't believe you did it past our curfew when we all had to go to sleep, I really wanted to watch it"
"Yeah, well I didn't want to embarrass him in front of the whole town" Ilyanna said somehow even more gleefully and also clearly lying.
"Kids supper is almost ready" The parent shouts to them.
"We will be there in a minute!" Ilyanna shouts back.
"Ilyanna I want to race you right now before supper" one of the kids said.
"You are on, but don't cry when I beat you so bad"
Some time passes as they make their way to the edge of the forest.
"Let's just go straight to the end of the forest and right back" the kid says.
"That's fine by me" Ilyanna responds.
"Alright I'll count you guys down" another kid says as they both get ready to race.
"Hurry up guys I'm so hungry" the other kid said.
"Alright 3..2..1..GO!!" The kid yelled as they started sprinting in to the forest. The forest itself is only a 5 minute walk all around. The kids run and jump through the forest. Both of them are neck and neck trying to beat the other one. They approach the end of the forest and beyond it is a huge field. Ilyanna and the kid both turn around and start heading back. As they approach the town smoke starts coming from it. They start smelling something burning. They get closer.

"I wonder if they are making smores, I would love some right now" Ilyanna says as both the kids clear the forest and get right to the edge of the town. As they look to see all the buildings burning down and the friends they left behind dead on the ground.
"What hap-p-pened?" The other kid said trembling with fear. Ilyanna just frozen seeing all this stuff around them. Then suddenly 3 lizardmen appear from around one of the houses. All of them holding blue spears. Lizardmen are a race that have lizard like properties. A tail, claws, and razor sharp teeth. They are very agile and quick but become even more dangerous and powerful in the water. They also have blueish-greenish scaly skin.
"I told you I didn't kill all of them, just most" one of the lizard men said as they approach the kid.
"Well we can only take one" another said. Then the third one stabbed the other kid through the chest. Ilyanna screams in fear but is too scared to run.
"That solves it we will take this one then" one says grabbing Ilyanna by the wrist and pulling her along with them. She starts crying.
A week later
About 5 miles away from Palaerus, the biggest city of the Lizard men. Ilyanna and the three lizard men are walking down a dirt road towards the city. She is in the front of them.
"I wonder how much money we will get from her" one of them said.
"I don't care I just loved killing those elves, still can't believe they tried starting a war with us"
"I know they must like watching their own die" Ilyanna stops in her front of them.
"My big brother is going to kill you all when he gets home and finds out what you did!!" Ilyanna screams at them. The Lizardmen just look at her for a second. But then they all start laughing.
"You really are funny, your people are already good as dead"
"Also wasn't he sent to fight in the battle of Merlona"
"They lost that fight, and if your brother survived that just means he ran away, your brother is a coward" Ilyanna is shocked to her the news that her brother could be dead.
"He must be alive, he will save me"Ilyanna says as she cries.
One hour later
They have made it to Palaerus. It is a half land and half sea city. The buildings under the water are more circular then the ones on the land. As they make their way in to the city they are stopped by lizard guards. They wear golden armor and have golden spears.
"Tell us why you have an elf girl with you?" One of the guards asked.
"We were sent by Unax to retrieve an elf, but we did end up destroying the town and killing the rest of the elves" one of the lizards respond.
"Unax must have some horrible plans for you little girl, you may proceed"
They enter a building on the land area and now are inside a small room with another lizard man in a cloak. The room is barely lit up and is mostly dark.
"Hey, Unax we have the elf" then Unax hands them a bag of money. The captors take the bag and leave.
"What do you want with me?" Ilyanna asks.
"I want to improve you, I am a bit of a scientist of course, then we will use you to make your race pay for their crimes" Unax says. The cloak that he is wearing covers most of his face but his smile can be seen by Ilyanna and it frightens her.
