Soon enough Anna finished talking and got done with the stitches. He walked outside and looked around.

  Half of the island was full of green lush grass; the other half was rocky barren landscape. He also noticed that most of the buildings were destroyed from the two islands merging. Now that Onex had got himself patched up and was now a conquer. He had to decided what to do next.

  With all this land. And half of it being grass lands, he ordered the people to start building farms and reconstruct buildings. Based on the fact that he’s seen 3 nations, there had to be more. Which meant he needs allies to help him against enemies.

  But where he was going to get allies was a big mystery. It was pure luck that he found two battling islands.

  After a while the people made the farms and rebuilt the housing. The next step was to get better weaponry to fight against any invaders and a way to scout. So, using the rocks of the barren land and the fibers of the lush land, they made durable stone weapons. And using the wood they made watch towers.

  As the people worked on making more weapons. Onex realized that he hadn’t looked up at the kingdom information text. So, he did.

  After looking at the stats for a bit and noting it didn’t look much different from John’s land, just higher numbers and a different name. He then looked back at the progress on the weapons and the island.

  Not having anything else to do and was very tired from all the waiting. Went inside one of the biggest buildings, found a bed, and drifted to sleep.

  Meanwhile, in a faraway place, an island with a temple shined brightly like a star.

  Footsteps echoed down the hall. Pillars reaching 30, no 50 feet to the dark void above. A tall women walked. She had flowing black hair and purple eyes with a cold expression, with a crescent moon adorned on her head. She walked toward a temple.

  As soon as she walked through the temple's door. She was met with a bunch of people lining up at both sides dressed like priest. They bowed their heads as she walked down the temple’s hall, but none dared greet her.

  Once she made her way down the hall and turned left. She was met with a man. The man had golden blonde hair with dark green eyes with a crown made of gold on top of his head. He also wore a cocky grin as he spoke.

  “Well, you actually deiced to show up, Queen of Darkness.” He said, leaning on the wall.

  But the woman just walked past while passing a glare, “No one asked for you to speak, Tyrant.”

  The man chuckles, “So rude, would it hurt for to be a bit nicer?”

  Even after the man spoke, the woman just ignored him and continued walking.

  After a while of walking. She reached a massive door. The door was made of sound absorbing wood and was trimmed with gold. But the women did not feel intimated by it, instead she pushed open the door and walked in.

  Inside there was a long table. With twelve chairs, four chairs to the left and right, and two chairs at the front and back.

  Each chair held a symbol. The women sat on the chair with the symbol of the moon with a sigh.

  After a while, more of the chairs filled up. The cocky man from earlier included. But 3 chairs did not fill. The two end chairs, and the top right chair, that held the symbol of horns was also empty.

  A priest walked in and spoke.

  “We are glad to have you here, Twelve Monarchs of the Void. Though two of you are missing, and one wasn’t invited. We, of the Vast Void temple host this meeting to talk about… The recent activities of the Demon Monarch.”

  Onex woke up to hear Anna’s voice. She spoke in a rushed voice when Onex stirred awake.

  “Another nation is near.”

  Hearing this, Onex jolted up, “Uh? Already?”

  Anna seemed taken aback, “Already? Did you expect this?” She let out a soft laugh before continuing, “The people assigned to the lookout towers noticed an island in the distance. We aren’t sure if their friendly or not.”

  Onex rubbed his eyes and got out of bed, “Then be prepared for battle. Once they get into a distance which we can talk, I will try to form an alliance. If they show any hostility, then unleash fire.”

  Anna nodded at the instructions and walked out. Onex soon followed only after getting his body to fully wake up.

  The island in the distance was at least twice as big as Onex’s. Because of the distance, it was hard to make out, but Onex could see wooden buildings and a few towers, there were also massive farms with animals and plants alike. This land seemed to be here much longer than the Spike Kingdom and the Zoi Kingdom have.

  Onex carefully watched the island. Watching to see if the leader would show themselves. And eventually, they did.

  A man around Onex’s age appeared. The wings on his back put Onex in shock, the man also wore a hovering crown. With hands in his pockets, he asked.

  “Do you guys have any connection to the King of Sailing?”

  Onex looked confused, “King of Sailing?”

  The man let out a sigh, “Yes, the King of Sailing, he has caused some problems for my ally.” The man than pulled out odd box with a slit in the top and tossed it onto Onex’s island, “If you get any information of that King, write a letter to me, the King of Flying, and put it into the box.”

  With that, the man started to walk away from the edge. But Onex called after him.

  “Wait!” Once the man turned around and was facing Onex again, he asked, “Can I…be your ally?”

  “Huh? You want to be my ally?” The man thought about it for a moment, “Sure, I’ll accept. As long as you help me when I go to battle.”

  “Well, that’s what allies are for.”

  “I suppose you're right. Anyways, I look forward to seeing you at the battle at the King of Sailing, in the future.” With that, the man turned around and moved his island away.

  Onex pick up the box, turned around and began to walk and think.

  If that King of Flying guy, has been here longer than the Spike and Zoi Kingdoms like I suspect. Then he has more power than me. So, I gotta get my own kingdom stronger for that battle. This is stressful.

  Onex let out a sigh while walking into the big house he slept in. He walked to a table and sat the box down before sitting down.

  After a while of thinking. Onex got up, walked outside and glanced around his own island. Unsure of what to do, he wondered toward the edge of the island and looked out into the open void.

  Some of the stars were brighter, while others were darker. Some even faded away while new stars appeared elsewhere.

  The scene gave a peaceful felling to Onex. It calmed him as he looked into the dark abyss, it made all his stress feel insufficient.

  Onex smiled slightly before turning back to his island, walking away from the void. As he did so, he saw the former king of the Zoi kingdom approach. His expression still angry.

  “You really make me mad! All I wanted was to take the surface world! But no, you just gotta stop me from getting stronger and force me into your nation.”

  Onex smirked, “Heh, your welcome to leave.”

  The leader of Zoi was silent for a moment, before speaking in a flabbergasted tone, “Huh?”

  “Yeah, just jump off this island. After a bit of falling, you’ll become a conquer again.”

  The man took a step back, eyes wide, “A-are you crazy?”

  “That’s what I thought.” As those words left his mouth, Onex began walking further into the island.

  Onex then used his mask to start moving the island in a random direction. He still had to get more people for the battle against the King of Sailing in the future.

  Onex’s luck wasn’t as high this time. It has been three days of endless traveling with zero sign of another island. Which he found very frustrating.

  But at last, he saw an island in the distance. It wasn’t massive, but it was slightly bigger than Onex’s island. And it looked familiar for some reason, but Onex didn’t dwell on it.

  He slowly let out a deep breath. Telling his people to gather in two groups and grab weapons, which Onex grabbed his own as well, the weapon the man from Zoi tried to attack him with.

  Then Onex used the newest ability and split his island in two, while using his mask other ability to move his separated islands on to sides of the island they were invading. Once Onex’s two islands were in range to jump from, the people jumped onto the island they were invading.

  Onex followed behind. Not wanting to get hurt again and needing to find islands conquer.

  As they moved towards the center of the island. Onex realized why this place looked so familiar, it’s because this is John Mercy’s kingdom. Even knowing that, Onex did not stop. In fact, this was to his benefit, John clearly had knowledge of the void.

  After a few breaks, and a lot of running. They reached the settlement of John’s island. All of Onex’s forces attacked from two different sides, catching Mercy’s kingdom off guard.

  Once Onex determined it to be safe to enter, he did. He already knew who the ruler was. So, all he needed to do was find John Mercy.

  But that was harder than expected. The population of Mercy’s kingdom has grown to shocking numbers, not only that, but there were also shadowy figures there, helping the Mercy Kingdom.

  What are those things?

  Onex thought as he ran through the center, looking for John Mercy to no avail.

  Is this not his island? No, I know it is. Could John have died? That would be a shame, I could’ve used his knowledge. I just have to hope he’s alive.

  Onex continued running around, struggling to find John Mercy. That’s when he heard a voice.

  “How the hell are you alive?” John’s voice called out to Onex.

  Onex skidded across the ground as he stopped and turned around raising his sword, “I’ve been looking for you.”

  John’s eyes narrowed as one of the shadowy beings formed behind him, “I asked you a question.”

  “That comes after I take your island!”

  After saying that, Onex lunged at John. Swinging his sword at the man. But John did not move, instead the shadowy figure swung its own sword at Onex. Which he barely blocked.

  Onex jumped back. Not expecting it to defend John. But he quickly regained his composer as the shadowy figure charged at him.

  This time he waited for the shadowy figure to swing, then he parried the attack and thrust his blade toward the figure’s chest.

  The blade pierced the shadowy figures chest, and it dissolved as quickly as it came. He then let out a sigh of relief and looked over at John, who seemed shocked how quickly Onex dealt with it.

  John was about to speak when Onex suddenly lunged, reaching for his crown while thrusting his blade.

  But John was quicker, a shadowy hand grabbed Onex by the foot, making him trip. John than took out his own sword and thrust it down upon Onex. Which Onex moved his torso to dodge while grabbing John’s sword with his free hand.

  Then he sliced John’s hand to force him to let go. Cut the shadowy hand off his foot and jumped towards John’s crown.

  John had no way to defend himself this time. And Onex took the crown. With the word, the crown merged into his hand and in the distance, John’s island merged with Onex’s split island.

  Once the processes were completed. Onex let out a sigh of relief, and all the fighting stopped and the shadowy figures disappeared. Soon he heard the voice.

  You have conquered Mercy’s Kingdom.

  Your kingdom has leveled up.

  Your mask as leveled up.

  Onex looked around at the new land he owned. Now he was much more confident in the upcoming battle.
