Chapter 14: Harvey the Game Master

Harvey the Game Master sat on a giant bean bag he had found in a garage sale several years ago. He had never washed it but he did spray it with Febreze every once in a while. Over the past few days the room had actually become quite clean. The books organized on the shelf, the wrappers put away, and the clothes clean and folded. His cat Mortimer was even coming into the room again. It rolled onto its side as it swiped at a little toy mouse in the corner.

Harvey waved his hands in the air and chuckled to himself. If a person had walked in on him they would have likely thought he had gone mad. Fingers taping in the air at things only he could see, smiling as he discovered new things in the program.

He had enjoyed especially watching the first interactions between the players. When Alexander met with that barbarian girl it had been especially interesting. Previously when looking at class dispersion he had decided to put only one Wizard in each of the national superpowers to keep things balanced in the future. Now Harvey felt that, with a push, there was no one who better personify a Wizard than Alexander. He just needed to get over his family issues and become a bit more practical in his stance towards violence.

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Thinking of future developments made Harvey thrilled. It was like showing a new player how to enjoy role-playing using the games story itself. Guiding them through well-thought-out encounters that were tailored to their personality and selected skills.

Still Alexander wasn’t moving as fast as Harvey would like. He was the sole Wizard for his country, so there were some expectations that needed to be met. He looked over some new options before deciding how to give him a sneak peek of what was to come.
