'Why am I so cold?' Oryn considered as he slowly came to, oddly feeling... right, cold, but right. However, before he could questions it any further, a soft thing licked his face, making his choke. "The Hel?" Opening his eyes, memories flooding back, he saw the beautiful wolf from before looking at him with warmth, love and far too human understanding. "Why are still here?"
And it was here, as he reached out, that he saw and remembered that his entire right arm staring at the elbow was gone... only, in it's place was a new arm, crafted from Rowan wood.
"Sad, no sad?" Looking up, shocked beyond words, he saw the source of the gruff, growling voice. It was the wolf... he could feel power, that reminded him of himself, oozing from her.
"You... you speak?"
She nodded. "Kovu... name Kovu... is friend, you friend!" And then she licked him once more, before bunting his chest with her massive gray head almost knocking him over.
Unable to stop himself, he started to scratch her head, giggling. "You're so cute... but how?"
Loki's presence then made itself known. "In reverse order, when you healed her... as is the power of Seidr magic, you gave her a fraction of your soul but the force of power in you caused your arm to rupture. Guelvig, who was your savior, replaced your arm with a replacement, one made of Rowan wood from the tree you marked. I have been spending the last several hours examining it's potency... it's spelled to protect you. Seidr magic cannot innately be used to fight, so this... this is good. She wove truly impressive power into the prosthetic, not Odin and Freya powerful, but still... remarkable."

Curious, he held out his hand, looking at it with a healer's eye, noting the vines etched into the sides, glowing a soft green that seemed to be... "The power is coming from my magic, It's... the oddest pull."
'Well, only in part.' Loki started. "The power of your arm, the greater attributes are tied to Guelvig's own power. As long as she lives, the power will hold true. Now, enough awe... as it turns out, you are the key to my freedom. I know, shocking, but Guelving's mastery of human magic is unparalleled, if there is ever one to free me... or now how, it would be her.'
The raw, aching desperation of Loki's words pained Oryn, and yet made him smile all at once. "Well, now I have something to do... I tend to do better helping others. Where to first?" A light erupted from the false arm, a pungent yellow that swirled around him before slowly bobbing off. "I guess that is the way we go? Kovu... care to come with me?" He asked the beautiful wolf, who nodded eagerly.
'Friend, keep friend safe... go with friend.' Her wagging tail brought out more giggles. "Thorfinn would have loved you... I miss him." Shaking off his weariness and sense of loss, the turned his head to the light. "Let's go... I am feeling finally at peace with this entire journey... for salvation and revenge..."
And so they followed the light, with Loki muttering in Oryn's mind. 'I need to teach you the basics of Seidr magic, to ensure you do not die from healing another. As well as truths of all magic, things any sort can do. Sensory skills, something you will excel at beyond most others as a Seidr witch.'
