Joaquín took out a mini projector and a notebook. He connected it and projected the screen to a wall. In no time, he opened a video, where they were able to watch what happened in the morning. Everyone was expectant to see the recordings, even if they had seen it live.
The first thing that appeared on the screen was Amelia crushing the dummy’s marble. It showed in slow motion as she crashed the little ball. Afterwards, you could see a dot appear on top of her hand, that slowly became bigger until it became full size. It also slowly moved to the place on the floor where it finally ended up being.
Everyone was focused on the screen, but Joaquín paused the reproduction. “All of this happened over a tenth of a second. I was outstanded by what I was watching and with just this I understood why it needed the highest level of clearance. There was not a lot of difference between the cameras and this one showed everything we needed.”
“How did it become bigger? It would have been more logical if it just appeared,” Rafael asked.
“None of this is logical at all,” Emilio pointed out. “But I have to admit that this level of development is outstanding. I don’t care anymore if they have electricity. This is a whole new realm of things to discover.”
“That is true, we can’t keep considering them as people without technology, they might not have developed in the same way as us, but they sure have their perks,” Milagros agreed.
“Should I keep going? That dummy was something else entirely. I searched a little bit and I couldn’t find anything close to that material,” Joaquín continued.
“Sure, but it is not as we don’t know. After all, we were there. That thing is indestructible,” Victoria agreed.
“Does this mean that I am showing you just the entertainment compilation and not the information one?” Joaquín asked. He was surprised that he had been asked to do both of them, but he had expected that the first people he was going to show it to needed the full information about what was going on.
“They are the whole reason I asked you for the entertainment one,” Milagros explained.
“Then I have to thank you for this. It was fun to make.”
Joaquín selected another file that started with some epic movie music. This time it didn’t stop and the whole recording went in one go, completely synced with music. The whole table enjoyed a montage of normal speed takes and slow motion ones of all the tests they made.
Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
None of the trials made the dummy move even a millimeter. Either way, it was fun watching the normal bullet flattened. They could also finally see what the Energy bullet looked like. It was a bullet made of something transparent that seemed almost like a mirage.
When Amelia used her Skill for the first time the bullet looked the same, but it moved far faster making it evident that it would be more powerful.
As for the explosive bullet, it was the grand finale. The bullet was reddish instead of colorless, but as soon as it impacted the dummy it exploded into a sphere of fire. They only had two takes of that one. The only cameras that survived were the one on the ceiling and on Milagros’ hand. They were only two takes, but were the most overwhelming of them all.
After the last explosion, the whole table started clapping at the video, starting with Amelia and Victoria.
“Well done,” Milagros praised the editor.
“Thank you, but why are you not more shocked by what you've seen? And what was that last bullet?”
“We were all there and already knew what was going to happen,” Milagros explained. “Any explanation about that bullet is confidential. We will keep as few videos as possible and completely delete any that has people in it. You are the only one who has access to these recordings for the moment, and I don’t want any leaks on who has the Skill.”
“I will delete everything you don’t need as soon as possible. Either way, it was awesome. It’s just sad that I was not able to get any Stats yet.”
“Now that the video is over, I will call the staff to bring the dessert. After that, I will go with Emilio to the office for today’s schedule and I have to prepare myself for tomorrow's broadcast,” Milagros announced.
“Was it already scheduled?” Amelia asked.
“Uh, yes. Did it not reach you? It is all over the news.”
Everyone else in the table except for Milagros and Joaquín had no idea about the announcement. They had trained all day and didn’t check any news.
“Well, we were training…” Gabriela explained.
“I get it, if there is any news that you have to know I will tell you personally from now on. It will be tomorrow at 10. You will have a TV installed in the gym tomorrow before 9.”
“Great, what about bulletproofing it?” Gabriela asked.
“You were serious about that?” Milagros asked back “I was hoping you were joking. I did the budgeting, but I still hoped it was a joke.”
“I want them to be able to fight with guns now that they are immune to normal bullets. I might also need more bullets. Surprisingly the normal bullets seem to be weaker than Amelia’s.”
Milagros sighed before agreeing. “I will try to make them do it tomorrow after six. I know we made a fortune, but your training is becoming more expensive every time we talk.”
“If you want to complain, I want to know the numbers. Both the subscription sales numbers and the cost,” Emilio complained.
“Then I said nothing,” Milagos corrected herself while everyone else kept wondering how much did KimTec make that month.
