Chapter 0. Rabbits.

A man stood on top of a three meter tall wall made of earth. To his left there was a brown haired teenager, to his right a silver haired woman. They were all focused on the terrain in front of them, which looked quite weird. There were parts of the terrain that seemed to be part of a city, but abandoned and partially in ruins. At the same time, there were other parts in between the city that were just empty, they were just full of grass as if the city had been implanted with plains in the middle. There were actually more of those plains than buildings and it looked like a big plain splattered with sporadic pieces of ruins in between. Something that didn't seem natural at all.

All three of them were dressed quite casually. The man was wearing a simple shirt and pants, the woman wore a red dress and the girl was with a skirt and a top. They almost seemed like they were going out casually through the city, that was if they didn’t have weapons on them.

The man was wielding one dagger on each hand and the teenager had two guns. The only one without a weapon was the woman, but, surprisingly, she seemed the most dangerous of them all.

“It is almost time,” The man said, “Is everyone in their position?”

“Yeah, they sure are,” The woman said after looking at their sides.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

To his sides, the wall kept going endlessly, protecting the territory behind. There were hundreds of soldiers guarding the wall. Some of them with heavy armor, some with light armor and some with regular clothes. All of them had weapons, most had a single gun, but there were other kinds of weapons too.

“Do we really need all of these people with us here?” The girl asked.

“It is better to be safe,” The man answered, “Now, get ready. It starts on 3, 2, 1...”

After the countdown finished, there was a change in front of them and creatures started to appear. Not just one or two, but countless creatures appeared. All of them were from a single species: Rabbits.

As more rabbits appeared, they could notice that some of them were different. The vast majority of them were normal rabbits, even if they were somewhat big for a rabbit, but as more appeared there were some that were much bigger. At the very front of the animal army there was a singular rabbit that was almost one meter tall, being more of a monster than a rabbit.

“Holy,” the teenager gasped, “Can we really beat this with just taking the boss? How many are there?”

“I’d say millions,” The silver haired woman commented, “There are also hundreds that are stronger besides the leader.”

“Ami, take the boss out,” the man said, “we cannot risk this wave entering the city,”

“What about…” the girl started asking.

“At this point it is more important to protect the city,” The man answered, “Let’s hope a one hit kill intimidates the rest.”
