Many, many years later, a man is giving a lecture.
“Jenny Mooringway is a strange person. She is constantly falling over things, hates postal workers, and constantly jokes about an ex-husband who only appears in two episodes.“
He’s standing on a stage, in front of a crowd of several thousand people. He's an archeologist, doing a talk on a collection of tapes he found in the middle of the ocean. He continues to speak into the microphone.
“In every single episode of this six million season long show, yes, we’ve checked every episode, there is at least one joke about this ex-husband character. His first actual appearance, though, is in season 25, episode 21. The only other appearance he makes, EVER, is in episode 2439 of season 7437626. We’ve uploaded every episode, so you can check this out for yourself. We're working to translate every episode, though so far we've only done the ones that introduce new characters.”
There's several people in the audience with microphones, stationed to collect questions from people in the audience to pose to the speaker. One of them, near the top left from the speaker’s perspective, plays a buzzer noise to signify they've found a question.
“Yes, what's the question?”
“You mentioned earlier that she would often read a book titled 2521. Is there some form of connection?”
The man nods and walks closer to the left of the stage.
“Very astute observation from you. There most certainly is a connection between the two. Could you please give the person who asked the question the microphone?”
The person with the microphone walks over to the back left corner of the room and hands a man with long hair a microphone. The speaker squints a bit to get a better look at him, as it's darker in that spot.
He can't quite tell, but he thinks the man’s hair is orange. The man asks a very simple question, though the answer to it isn’t very clear.
“Then, is there any significance to the second appearance?”
Suzanne and Jenny are walking in circles around the fountain, talking. The episode ended with them walking out of the house.
“Is the schedule at least more reasonable...”
Jenny turns to her and looks at her as if she’s stupid.
“I have absolutely no say in what happens here.”
“Any clue where that reaper is? He’d still have to be in Columbia to have his Hell still up. I could just throw him back into Verona.”
“Suzanne Harper, if I knew where he was, I would’ve eaten him already.”
Sherman Chex watches through the window of one of the buildings. He’s quite confused at what’s happening here.
Samuel Walker stands up from his chair. The ball of dust is flying around his head, bored now that the episode is over.
“Acceleration.”
The ball of dust stops.
“Huh? What is it, Walker?”
“Do you want to see the set? It’s just...”
Walker limps over to the window, his leg’s still hurt from pulling the spike out of it. He points towards the building which is most certainly not a castle.
“Over there...“
“Really? It’s over there?”
“Yep! It’s right there!”
“Let’s go, let's go!!”
Time slows down for Walker. He sort of just stands there for a little bit. From his perspective, he’s been standing there for several hours, though really it’s been thirty-four seconds. Due to this discrepancy, his leg heals incredibly fast. This continues as he walks outside and over to the building containing the set of the show. The ball of dust reforms using some rocks.

“Here it is!”
“It’s inside the castle?”
“Oh, it’s not a castle.”
“But it looks like a castle!!”
It bumps into the doors of the building, and they fly away, broken.
“Oops.”
Looking inside, it looks identical to the way it does on the show.
“Oh my god, it IS the set of the show!!”
It’s been half an hour since the end of the episode. There is half an hour left until the airing of the next episode. Suzanne and Jenny continue to walk around the fountain. Other people place chairs around the fountain. Sherman Chex remains inside the building, confused at what's happening. Walker and his idea have just entered the set.
It's been three quarters of an hour since the end of the episode. There is a quarter of an hour left until the airing of the next episode. Suzanne and Jenny are preparing what they're going to say during the next episode. Sherman Chex is inside the building. Walker, who's been turned into a mailman, sneaks around the town at normal speed.
It's been an hour. The Ascyll family walks around the Nevergreen cell. Suzanne, Jenny, and everyone else are all in position for the episode to start. Sherman Chex stands inside the building.
“Well, I believe the episode number shows something important about this show. Looking at the clocks in each episode, they all air in one-hour intervals. This show likely wasn't a planned out serial, but was likely an actual recording of someone's daily life.”
The man with long orange hair tilts his head.
“What makes you say so? Whose life would last so long as to air millions of seasons on it?”
The speaker has no answer for this.
“I am not sure.”
He walks back over to the screen. He plugs a tape player into something in the wall, and inserts one.
“I've already shown you his first appearance, so let me show you the other one.”
The episode starts with the intro.
A very annoying song begins to play.
There’s a scene of a lady with dark green hair, tripping over a rock into a fountain. There’s some sort of special effect that radiates from her head when she hits the water.
The music continues as it cuts to a different scene, in a construction yard, where the same lady and a man with dark red hair are laughing as a man with black hair is hanging from a wrecking ball.
In the next, the same lady is dancing in a living room, watching a movie about a hypnotized male model.
Finally, it cuts to a scene of a group of people sitting around the same fountain as earlier, with a title card. The music fades away as well.
“Jenny’s Town”
The scene zooms in on the lady in front of the fountain.
[ Starting Suzanne Harper as
Lawyer ]
“I have gathered you all here today to read the will of Jenny’s ex-husband.”
The camera pans to Jenny. She's smiling.
[ Starting Jenny Watcher as
Jenny Mooringway ]
The scene switches back to Suzanne.
“If only I had it.”
A laugh track plays.
Conveniently, a mailman walks from the left side of the screen and hands her a yellow envelope.
“Ah, here it is!”
Jenny hisses at the mailman, who runs away.
“Without further ado, I will begin the reading of his will.”
She opens the envelope and begins to read from the third page.
“His house, which he stole from Jenny, will go to...“
The contents of the will don't matter.
The feed pauses.
( “As you can see, even here, they don't say his name. They only ever refer to him as ‘Jenny’s Ex-Husband”.” )
The reading of the will continues, with many things going to everyone other than Jenny.
“The final item will be read in half an hour.”
Everyone stands up and walks away and the scene shifts to one of people attempting to prevent some sort of demolition by weighing down the wrecking ball.
Sherman Chex is leaning on the door as he watches everything unfold.
It's been 30 minutes, magically, and Suzanne has rounded everyone back up to read the final item of the will.
“Thank you all for attending this reading. The final item, his library of many books, according to his last will and testament, will be going to...”
A door on a nearby building suddenly opens and a man with orange hair falls out. He's dressed in business clothing, with a suitcase and clipboard.
“Hello, citizens of Jenny's Town.”
Everyone turns to face him, their jaws drop.
Jenny stands up.
“Oh come on, why aren't you DEAD!”
The episode cuts to a commercial break.
