The last of the light panels came after the sunlight fully fell upon the burning forest field. With the heat that increased from the light of the sun, Joshua and those of the soldiers that could read felt their skin tingling when they read the last three panels.

?They did not have time to think of its meaning, for only after five seconds of delay from the light panels appearing, the whole ground started to shake.

?The shaking felt like it was coming from the very Earth's core itself. Those that were able to read and get a sense of what happened panicked, and Joshua and Sedric are both among them.

  ?"Gather!"

?Exclaimed Sedric, calling out to the soldiers that are scattered across the ground after the battle. As the soldiers joined together after Sedric's words, Joshua stood idle on the side, observing them and the surroundings as a whole. Because he felt that the tremor through the Earth came not just from the ground below; instead, he felt it was also something like an echo spread through the ground as a result of something else.

?"My soldiers, prepare! For it seems that hell is not over with us yet, and is preparing for its next assault. Are we the ones to bow our heads to this imaginary mysticism?"

?"No!" The soldiers exclaimed in unison, giving their answer while boosting the morale of each other.

?The ceased vibration that ran through the ground once again appeared, giving a feeling to the soldiers and the leaders that it came back as an answer to their voices.

?The burning forest felt like it was swaying with the tremors, and Joshua felt the warmth of the sun gradually increase upon his body. Looking up, he gazed at the sun, feeling a bit unfamiliar with this scene that he had seen at least thousands of times before.

?Joshua was just doubting when a clear and obvious change happened within the sun, attracting all those in the field who are swaying back and forth by the tremors running through the ground.

At once, it was like the sun had erupted. A boiling flame burst outward from the sun, but not in the direction of the living land. It was for elsewhere. That bursting flame was like a sign of a cracking egg; and following the first flames, the sun started to emit a few more bursts of flames outward, and upon the surface where once only flame existed and eyes cannot stay for long while gazing, clear signs of cracks started to appear.

?"My God, the sun! It's breaking down!"

?Some soldiers exclaimed as they witnessed the scene. Joshua and Sedric both witnessed the scene silently, trying to judge what was happening.

?The sun, which had been a ball hovering above the sky all this time, cracked open like an egg; with flames bursting outward, the cracked pieces hovered around the sky in some sort of attached way. They did not fall to the ground below, instead floated in the air with all the other flaming pieces.

?Through the cracked sun, moving lava can be seen, and it was like a road that leads to somewhere. The path of lava went into the inner surface of the sun through the cracked surface; what was inside the sun was not visible to those who gazed at it from the ground. And all they could do was to hope that the cracked pieces of the sun would not fall upon them.

?Joshua, after witnessing the cracking sun, returned his gaze back to the land and observed the surroundings; the burning forest swayed once again with tremors running through the ground.

?Two light panels followed one after another. And Joshua had just read them when he heard a sudden roar coming from deep within the forest.

?The tremors running through the ground worsened, and suddenly, through the deep forest, a creature appeared.

?From the first glance, Joshua did not recognize it. Having six legs, four eyes, and two beating, clear visible hearts upon its chest, the animal had the shape of a deer with large antlers upon its head. But the antlers are glowing—not from their own shine, instead from the shine reflected from the sun. To reflect the sun's shine, the antlers had become extremely sharp and smooth, and their sharpness cut through every tree branch and vine that stood in its way.

Once it appeared, it rushed directly to Sedric and his group of soldiers. As if it was a mindless beast, it did not halt its advance despite seeing soldiers with weapons in their hands.

?But on the other hand, the soldiers are not in better shape either. Even after seeing a three-headed wolf that radiated light, the sudden appearance of another beast that could belong to the same mystical brand shook their hearts one after another.

And they showed such slow reactions that even when the deer was a few feet away, none of them had their weapons even lifted to strike at the thing.

?It was Sedric who jumped first into the beast's way and swung his blade, slicing through the neck of the beast, cutting it apart with one strike.

?"Don't act weak! We are not weak!"

?Said Sedric, his gaze casting over every soldier, as if it was not just words but also a warning.

  ?"Sir, watch out!"

?Exclaimed Melavan as he suddenly ran at Sedric and thrust his sword forward. He did it by instinct, and his blade went right beside Sedric's head, piercing into a fist-sized flying creature that appeared like a bee.

?It did not emit a sound to be noticed and had been silent even till the moment Melavan's sword thrust passed through it.

?"Melavan , how did you even see that thing?"

?Sedric was amazed and also slightly frightened by the event. He ignored the fact Melavan just saved his life and questioned him on his ability.

"I think it is because of something I got from this light, I can see." Melavan gave an honest answer, truly believing it to be the truth, as he himself was also surprised by the way he had moved when he struck at that thing.

?Sedric gazed at Melavan , viewing him with interest.

"So you also got something shining with a light. Is that thing something called Berserker?"

?"No sir, it's something called Executioner. I believe it to be the one responsible for the way I moved just now,"

said Melavan again. He himself knew of his abilities, and he wasn't in shame or embarrassed to admit something he didn't have the power to do so.

?Sedric knew of this way of Melavan , and it's one thing he liked about the guy. Honesty is within Melavan 's words, and Sedric believed it. And from the honest words said by Melavan, Sedric was also drawn to the truth once again—that he should be changed too.

?And to test that, he once again gazed at the surroundings. Following the first beasts was another large amount appearing from the forest, and they came rushing at Sedric and his group. Sedric swung his blade, slicing one after another weird creature that came to face him.

?As he did, Sedric felt just the sword wasn't enough for him. So he used his fist; the fist that was already filled with red veins was stained by thick blood of his enemies as it struck into the heads of the beasts that kicked at him. And seeing blood and feeling the sensation, Sedric was joyous and felt more at ease.

?As the battle continued, the sword that was once in Sedric's hand was let go of by him, as he completely abandoned it and switched to striking the enemies with his bare fists. Like a wild beast, more animalistic than the beasts in the wild, he jumped at the weird-shaped, elk-like creatures that came at him, striking them with his fists and thrusting at them with his sharp nails.

?In this battle, Sedric did not feel anything else happening around him, as he was truly delving into his own intense feelings. And the world around him, somehow, also felt the heat he was in.
