It’s morning, I can barely remember what that dream was… what exactly happened-
Arata’s body convulses as he begins to vomit up a slurry of stomach acid, booze, and the grilled Lamprey profusely. He had killed a living being, that wasn’t a dream either; it felt way too real. What’s more, Rosemary’s blood still stained his forehead somehow. He begins to cry, his face pale and his body shaking as he stands over a pool of human sick.
Clemence slams open the door, “Oh my god! What happened here? Are you alright?”
“What happened… did you see anything unusual with my body when I fell asleep?!” Arata shouts in confusion and panic, grabbing her shoulders.
“N- no, sorry, I had left the room after I saw you fall asleep. Please, let me clean up the room, you should really bathe off, I’m afraid your smell… It’s a bit off-putting.” Clemence points out the obvious.
Do I really stink that bad? What am I kidding? Of course I do.
In the bathroom, there’s a bucket of water, a towel, and some soap. For an establishment like this, soap seemed like a luxury, yet Arata couldn’t care less; he wanted to get clean. He felt refreshed as he exited, but his clothes still looked dirty.
Well, I’m heading off to a new casino with Ravenna today, then buying some clothes. What more is there to do today? Arata makes his way outside. The streets were still quite quiet, but Arata had some essentials he needed to buy.
Clothes and weapons, maybe I can save money if I negotiate spending another night freeloading.
He decides to summon Ravenna as a second opinion, “Hey, Ravenna... I saw something last night.” Since there’s no Google, I just ask Ravenna, the second-best option, maybe third behind Bing.
“I know, I was watching you, the Ripping, right? The theater just started glowing for no reason.” Ravenna points out, confusing Arata even more.
Arata grabs her on the shoulder, “Explain, tell everything that happened. What is the Ripping?” The few heads out on the street turn to Arata as he looks crazy for talking to the air.

“Well, I was watching you fall asleep when I saw a vision of a child with bird feathers on the stage… the theater forced your sleeping body back to itself before you were warped away next to her. Suddenly, the theater cut back to you in the Ripping.” Ravenna explains. After a pause, pointing towards a clothing store.
“You look tacky as hell. Let's make you fit in a bit more. You're probably gonna want a good casual fit and something formal.” Ravenna explains.
I haven't even told you yet why I summoned you. Why are you already calling me ugly?! “Ye-yeah… you’d be right. Let's go then. If you're going to insult my appearance so much, you'd better have good taste.” Arata replies with a hint of annoyance.
Entering the shop, Arata looks around, attaining a basic tunic of this world, but then having some issue, formal wear is way too expensive in this world.
“Ravenna, anything else you’d recommend? Do I look alright?” Arata tries to get her second opinion, she stares into Arata’s soul, his shaggy brown hair, dark green eyes and freckled cheeks.
Ravenna looks at him before lifting his shirt, stating, “You look perfectly mundane, figure, the look in your eyes and the way you dress… perfect!”
I guess that’s a compliment. I fit in well now, at least, well, I guess I can just buy this for now if I find nothing fancy in my price range.
Arata looks around the store a bit more and decides just to wait until the casinos open up later, so he can make some money first and not have to break into his full moon. He feels some defeat, but for now, he has to make sure he can find a good weapon.
Stepping out into the street, he sees Clemence and another man staring each other down. Clemence has a look of rage in her eyes.
“You bastard, you think you get to show your face anywhere near her after what you did! I don’t mind if I have to take justice into my own hands now. I know how scumbags like you think!” Clemence’s venomous voice turns many heads towards the man.
Arata’s other world logbook entry #4: The Ripping
Learning about this place keeps me up at night, partially because I no longer want to sleep. If you awaken magic, there's a chance you’ll wake up in the dream world, known as the Ripping, while sleeping. There, anything that happens to your body transfers to your body in real life. This phenomenon exists outside your control, which is probably the worst part of it..
The etymology stems from a rip in space that bends your soul between the two planes.
There, I met another person who had been transferred into the Ripping as well; her name was Rachael. A bird person, she’s a couple of tiers above me and power, and for some reason, seems like she intended to go there. However, that doesn’t match up with the information Ravenna told me.
