The wandering merchant Flynn awoke in a daze, half asleep, half awake. He began to pack his wares, knowing that there would be a grueling day of traveling ahead.
After ensuring all of his wares were secured and where they were supposed to be, he set off into The Forest of Mist. He had bought a magical ward with him from a reclusive hermit he met during his various travels.
Flynn knew that he had to be extremely careful in The Forest of Mist, many travelers over-estimated themselves and fell to the various puddle based monsters, who were simply waiting for their next meal. Flynn was not too keen on becoming their next one.
After a few hours of travel, Flynn chanced upon a gathering of Mist beasts. Creatures made of flesh and mist, creating a monstrous abomination that would drive anyone unprepared mad.
Flynn decided to wait patiently for the Mist beasts to leave behind a thick foliage of bushes, biding his time and hoping they would move on quickly.
Suddenly, out of the corner of Flynn's eye, he noticed a grey slime, hopping slowly over to the fog beasts. The slime, still not knowing the deathly peril it was in, still pushed on ahead.

The Mist beasts finally noticed the slime approaching them and turned to face it. Teeth gnashing and snarling, they began to encircle it, ensuring it wouldn't be able to escape no matter what.
In a flash of mist-like matter, the slime suddenly exploded. The Mist beasts, most likely confused as he was, began to search around where it was. That was when I saw a circle of Mist beginning to form around the Mist beasts, slowly cutting off any chance of escape, quickly began to become less and less transparent.
That was when Flynn began to hear the screams. The Mist beasts seemed to be desperately attacking the grayish bubble around them. Just as suddenly it happened, the slime reappeared, with no traces of the Mist beasts anywhere to be seen.
As the slime began to approach me, I began to pray to Kane for a painless and quick death. The slime started to begin what could only be called dancing In front of me. It began to spit out valuable Mist beast parts, such as their teeth (Prized for being both immaterial and material.) and also ejecting what seemed large amounts of mist from itself, it approached me and began to climb up my leg and into my bag. Without any other choice, I kept moving on throughout the forest and to my destination, the royal capital of the Alluminus Empire.
