Arin opens his eyes to the wooden ceiling above him. He had another dream of his past, although this one was a bit worse than the last one he had the previous night.
He rubs his eyes and yawns. Agar was sleeping in again, snoring on the other side of the room. Arin pushes himself up and stretches his arms. He kicks his legs out and stands, and starts stretching his entire body.
Arin walks over to where Agar is sleeping, and lightly shakes him. "Wake up, Agar. Time to go meet our client," he says.
Agar grumbles, turning onto his side. "We can meet them later," he mumbles. Arin sighs, before walking over to the tub of water from the previous night, now lukecold.
He takes the cloth on the side of the tub and submerges it into the water. He then wrings it out, and takes it over to the sleeping Agar. Arin then promptly slaps the cloth onto Agar's face.
"Buugah!" Agar yelps out, jumping up from the cold, damp cloth slapped onto his face while he was half-asleep. "Arin!" he yells.
"I told you yesterday, this is what happens when you don't get up on time," Arin says, Agar promptly deciding to throw the cloth across the room. "Ajneya and Alyssa are likely already up."
"Well, you don't have to wake me up in some way like this every time!" Agar says, narrowing his eyes at Arin.
Arin sighs. "If we don't, you'd sleep until noon if you could," he says as he walks back over to his side of the room where his belongings leaned against the side of the bed.
"Plus, today is more special than other days; can you guess why?" Arin asks as he starts getting dressed for the day. Agar groans, and kicks his legs out of bed.
"Arin, you know I don't remember; just tell me already," he responds as he also starts getting ready for the day. Arin turns to grin at Agar as he finishes putting on pants over the underclothes he usually wears for bed.
"Agar, come on, we both dreamed of this since we were kids," he says, pulling a shirt on. "This is our chance to get ourselves known so we can finally become the best mercs on the continent!"

"From one job?" Agar eyes Arin. He returns the look over at Agar after a slight pause. Arin sighs.
"Don't you remember that this noble is one of the most influential nobles on the entire East coast? Possibly the entire continent?!" Arin exclaims.
"Come on, Arin. You jus' got all that from Alyssa," he says, grinning at Arin. "The way you said that reminds me of the way she speaks."
Arin blushes a little, turning away slightly. "Okay, maybe I did just repeat what Alyssa said," he turns back to Agar. "But still! If we get in his good graces, we could have news about us spread across the world; we would be rolling in jobs!"
Agar chuckles, and starts donning his pieces of armor he had doffed the previous night. "Sure, but I suppose that's on you, isn' it?" he asks.
Arin freezes at this remark for only a moment. Agar hadn't noticed, as he was busy slipping on his shoes. "Yeah...Right..." Arin quietly responds.
He decides to finish dressing and try to meet the others no doubt waiting on them. He throws over his shoulders a cloak that is a deep ocean blue, and slips on his shoes.
Arin checks his pack for a moment before pulling out a small pouch, a soft clink sounding. He open the bag and pulls out a small silver ring, engraved quite elegantly, adorned with a single small mountain meadow green gem.
Arin slides the ring onto his left ring finger, and brings the gemstone to his mouth. He slightly gives it a peck, his eyes closed. "Father Samel, give me your strength," he murmurs.
Agar notices this and says nothing as a blank expression washes over his face. Arin opens his eyes and puts his hand with the ring down and returns the pouch to his pack. He grabs his staff resting nearby, and hefts up his pack.
As Arin looks over at Agar, he had already finished and was now waiting on Arin. "Sorry. Let's get going."
Agar nods, a wide grin plastered over his face. The two turn and leave the room, Arin exiting first.
"Took you two long enough!" Alyssa's voice called from below. Neither could see each other yet, as Arin closed the door behind Agar.
"How'd ya know it was us?" Agar said downstairs as he leans over the balcony overseeing the first floor dining area.
Arin sees Alyssa scoff as he moves to the stairs. "Your huge fucking feet! Anyone could tell it was you!"
Arin walks down the stairs to check if the dining area had any more occupants. There was only one, a tired looking man whose entire attention was at poking his food.
The two brothers join Alyssa and Ajneya at the table they were sitting at, food waiting. Agar plops down in his seat as a growl erupts from his stomach. Agar looks down at himself. "I just sat, can you calm down?" he asks. The remark causes laughter from the entire group.
