Chapter 27

Floating in the [VOID] are massive creatures. They reach lengths of 9 to 11 feet and weigh up to 800 pounds.

Nexus scan indicated it to be a wolf species native of the world of Di, they have special genes of increased muscle mass and bone density. They have bigger heart to support such massive builds and it seems they have heightened smell too.

Looking at this supposed to be wolves, wolf in Terra have can only reach at most of 6 to 8 feet and 100 to 145 pounds.

Joshua ordered Nexus to start integrating it with the test subject, the clone 1, who had been growing up for months now and look about 15 year old version of him.

"Nexus remember to make only 1 clone copy in store and make the rest of clone have different faces and characteristics." Joshua voice his demands.

  [Command Accepted]

Nexus stored 1 Clone leaving only 20 perfect condition clones, there are 30 that are still in the middle of their growth process.

The 20 fully grown clones looked identical to the 15-year-old version of Joshua, except for the subtle differences that made them unique.

They had been given different haircuts, eye colors, and even some had variations in their facial structures to avoid the eeriness of having 20 exact copies.

Joshua began his experiments by integrating the genetic material of the Di wolf into the clones. He had hoped that the wolf's incredible physical capabilities would blend well with human physiology, creating the ultimate warrior.

The first five clones were granted enhanced musculature, their limbs thickening and bulging with newfound power. Their skin took on a slightly fur-like texture, and their eyes glowed with a predatory intensity that sent shivers down the spines of those who dared to gaze upon them. Their movements became slowed but deliberate, each step thudding heavily onto the floor as if they could crack the very earth beneath their feet. There are down side of the enhancement, as the bones in them tend to break before they can unleash their full power.

The next five clones, on the other hand, had their bones reinforced with the same density as the Di wolves.

The changes were dramatic and immediate. Their once average heights shot up, with some reaching over 7 feet tall. Their limbs lengthened and their bone structure shifted, giving them an elongated, almost inhuman grace. Their movements were swift and silent, a stark contrast to the bulky brutes that came before them.

Joshua at the data gathered with a smile.

He started to combine the two enhancement into the ten clones. This time the changes were even more dramatic.

The clones grew in height and width, reaching a towering 7.5 feet and stretching almost 2 feet wide. Their muscles bulged with the power of the Di wolf, yet their movements remained swift and silent like the first five with the reinforced bone structure. Their faces had also been altered, the fur retreating to give way to human-like skin, though their eyes remained a piercing, wolfish gold.

Their hearts had been enlarged and modified, pumping oxygenated blood with the efficiency of a machine, turning them into tireless predators. Their veins, now thicker and more numerous, crisscrossed under their skin like a complex map of power, carrying lifeblood to their extremities with astonishing speed.

Their senses were heightened to a degree that was unparalleled in human experience. They could hear the faintest whispers of the wind, see in the dark like it was day, and smell danger from miles away. Their sense of touch was so acute that they could feel the vibrations of footsteps through the ground as if they were part of the very earth itself.

The ten 'Blood Wolf Knights', as Joshua dubbed them, were a sight to behold. They had become the embodiment of the beasts they were meant to feared, yet they remained loyal to Joshua, their eyes never leaving his commanding presence.

As Joshua take pride in his creation, he couldn't shake the feeling of something missing. Despite the awe-inspiring transformation of the 'Blood Wolf Knights', a gnawing sensation of greed grew within him. He yearned for more power, more control. His mind raced with ideas on how to further enhance them, pushing the boundaries of human biology and Di's beasts' might.

One sleepless night, as he studied the data from his experiments, an unexpected revelation struck him like lightning. He realized that the true power of the Di wolf wasn't just in their muscles or bones, but in their hearts. Their hearts, though large, were not as complex as the ones in humans. Yet, they could sustain such tremendous strength and speed.

In a moment of madness, he had an idea that could potentially change the game.

"Nexus, we need to give them a secondary heart," he said, his voice filled with excitement.

  [Searching Data... Data Found]

  [Reoperative Heart Surgery]

  [Potential... High Success]

Nexus showed Joshua knowledge of reoperative heart surgery, seeing this he was happy that his Idea could be done with the help of this knowledge.

Heart surgery was not a trivial matter, but with Nexus's guidance and the advanced medical skills and his power in the [VOID], Joshua was confident in his success.

One by one, he placed the 'Blood Wolf Knights' under anesthesia and proceeded with the delicate operation. Each surgery was meticulous, he carefully made a second, smaller heart into their chests, weaving it into their circulatory system with the precision of a master tailor. The clone bodies were resilient, adapting to the new organ as if it had always been a part of them.

This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.

Once the surgeries were completed, the 'Blood Wolf Knights' were left to recover.

Testing the 'Blood Wolf Knights' after their surgeries. The first few days were spent monitoring their vitals and making sure the new hearts were functioning correctly. Then made them perform series of test. And he learned that their endurance had indeed improved significantly.

They could now run for hours without tiring, their reflexes were sharper, and their already formidable strength had increased to a point where they could crush boulders with their bare hands.

Run out of ideas on how to continue improvingthem so he went to the next phase of their increase power was to equip them with the finest armor and weaponry. Joshua and Nexus spent hours scanning through the knowledge's archives, looking for materials that could stand up to the power of their new forms.

While he was searching what best to equip his men, he already sent an order to transform all clones and people who had [Bio Chip] into 'Blood Wolf Knights'. The clones could be transform quickly to 'Blood Wolf Knights' but the people with [Bio Chip] had to be slowly enhance so they can integrate new genes.

As days pass by, there are more 'Blood Wolf Knights' living in the Village.

The villagers watched the 'Blood Wolf Knights' with a mix of amazement and fear, whispering among themselves about the new breed of warriors that now lived among them. Their power was undeniable, and the protection they provided was a comfort to many, but the thought of such creatures being born from their own children was unsettling.

Joshua knew that he had to maintain a delicate balance between the awe and the fear. He gathered the villagers in the square of the Hidden Village and addressed them.

"These are your children, your protectors," he said, his voice carrying through the night.

"They are the future of this land, the guardians of peace in a world torn apart by greed and war."

He introduced the 'Blood Wolf Knights', showcasing their newfound abilities. The children, now more beast than human, moved with a grace that belied their monstrous forms.

They leaped over buildings and landed without a sound, their eyes gleaming with the intelligence and loyalty of their human counterparts.

"They are my soldiers to defend and conquer my foes," Joshua declared, his voice resonating with determination.

"But remember, they are your children and our people, and their hearts still beat with the love and kindness you have instilled in them."

The villagers looked on in amazement as the 'Blood Wolf Knights' demonstrated their abilities. Some were proud, others horrified, but all understood the gravity of the situation. They knew that these children, now monstrous yet noble in their own right, were their last line of defense against the outside world's tyranny.

Whispers of "God" began to echo through the crowd as they watched the transformed children leap and bound with inhuman grace.

Their eyes, once filled with doubt and fear, now held a newfound reverence for Joshua. He had taken their weak, injured offspring and turned them into guardians that could stand against the mightiest of foes.

Joshua, however, remained unfazed by their newfound worship.

He knew the people of this era were quick to elevate those who offered hope and power. In his mind, their adoration was as fleeting as the leaves on a tree in a storm.

He had a grander vision for these 'Blood Wolf Knights', and their role was not to be mere protectors of a single village but the vanguard of a new era.

Turning away from the villagers, he retreated to his private chambers, as his thoughts racing with the implications of his shocking discovery he just made few days ago.

The growth of the 'Blood Knights' had indeed strengthened his soul and his spirit weapon. The bond between them was symbiotic, each one's power feeding the other. It was a revelation that filled him with excitement and a touch of greed. He could feel his spirit weapon, Nexus, pulsing with newfound power, eager to grow.

He also learned that by putting his clones into different worlds they can immediately send information into the [VOID] and can connected with [Bio Chip] to command them even if he was not in that world.

Sending 10 clones to Terra and 20 each for both Di and the Immortal World.

Thinking of ways to mass produce [Bio Chip] so he can grow his soul and spirit.

The problem is that he can't quickly produce it as he have only one Nexus, then he got another genius idea. Instead of making it himself, can't the [Bio Chip] make another one inside of the host. The concept of a self-replicating technology was not new to him, but applying it to the [Bio Chip] was a stroke of brilliance. He knew that the [Bio Chip] is just a copy of Nexus so why not make them make a copy too.

Nexus told him that it is possible but the [Bio Chip] needed to grow slowly and it can only be taken the host is dead.

Shaking his head while he sigh.

  The news was bittersweet.

On one hand, the self-replicating capability of the [Bio Chip] was a game-changer; on the other, he still needed to produce them.

Each chips could only be harvested post-mortem, making the process both time-consuming and morbid. But on the bright side they also enhance the performance, calculation and greater storage capacity. Helping the Blood Knights in battles in choosing to make the best decisions in quick instance.

Joshua sighed one more time before he called Bek Su as he needed to discuss an important matter.

Bek Su had been staying in the village training as he can't hunt forest animals when the village have spotted sightings of wild beasts.

Upon entering he greeted Joshua with a nod.

Joshua ask about the wild beast.

"Is it common to see wild beasts here?"

Bek Su, his trusted friend, shook his head.

"No, it's not common to see such wild beasts in the previous village," Bek Su replied gravely.

His eyes searched the room, as if the shadows could provide an answer to the unspoken question hanging in the air.

"We are deep in the mountains; such creatures usually avoid populated areas."

  Joshua nodded, his mind racing.

"But you've heard stories," he prompted, "stories of beasts that could match a Grandmaster in strength."

Bek Su's gaze grew distant as he recounted tales whispered around campfires and shouted in taverns.

"Yes, I have heard such things," he said, his voice low.

"Some say these beasts are ancient guardians, others that they're the result of dark rituals. They speak of creatures with scales that shine like the sun, or fur as black as the darkest night. They are said to roam the uncharted lands, untouched by the wars of men."

The room was silent as the weight of the words settled on them. The very thought of such beasts was a stark reminder of the world's vastness and the unknown dangers lurking beyond the safety of their village.

Joshua leaned back in his chair, his eyes narrowed in thought. He don't know how much of it is the truth and lies. But the possibility is what scared and excited him as this means new genes to acquire.

He turn to Bek Su and said "I believe with your dedication to the 'Imperial Carter Knight Art' and the potential I see in you, I can guarantee your successful integration with the [Bio Chip]."

Bek Su's eyes widened with a mix of shock and excitement.

"What you're suggesting...are you certain, Joshua?"

  Joshua nodded.

Bek Su's voice was a whisper, his gaze never leaving his friend's face. The proposal was one that could change his life, potentially granting him powers beyond his wildest dreams, but it came with risks that made his heart race with fear.

"I'm willing," he murmured, his hand clenching into a fist.

A month have pass and Bek Su officially become a Blood Wolf Knight, he was task by Joshua to lead few men to kill and collect wild Beast. The more unique the better it is for the gene pool.

As for Joshua, he went back to Terra to celebrate his 19th birthday.
