The boy's mask glinted, "Yes, the cultivator is not of pure human blood, but is a half-dragon!"
*Silence..............*
The Old man nervously smirked in sudden, "Now that he's revealed to be a dragon, what's changed? All that's left currently left makes him look like a snake."
He was certainly convinced in saving him in the previous debate, yet he still had doubts on saving someone from the powerful Eastern Great Dragon Clans in the back of his mind.
[There are 3 races in this world. Humans, Monsters and Divine Spirits, respectively in the order of decreasing population. Aside from them, there are corpses and ghosts sometimes born from or created out of dead experts. They can be originated from any race hence they remain neutral—or rather, equally repulsive.]
[Humans do all sorts of things to develop their power, and actively learn Martial and Cultivational arts to use it effectively. Divine Spirits consume for increasing their potency and refine their Sources to learn techniques from the inherent information already stored in them. Monsters do both depending on their developmental stage.]
[Though they may mingle around like normal in groups, let it be allies or sworn enemies, a human cultivator does not dare be alone with Divine Spirits; the fear of getting backstabbed always remains. The coexistence of different species is truly with impossible challenges.]
The Young Strategist waited for a few seconds as if to let him complete his thoughts then announced- "I think I know what you are thinking about. I want you to think, is that inherent animosity any deeper than the animosity you think humans will feel against humans of another Sect or Clan or Alliance?"
"It's obviously way mor—"
[Wait! Though the reasons for the doubt and animosity may be different, the magnitude for both of them is equal, even though the reasons for the former is several times stronger than the latter!]
The Young Strategist interjects- "The supposed result comes first not the cause. We first feel the animosity, then our mind creates—or rather guesses the reasons for our animosity. Our animosity comes automatically, and if isn't good enough to control his instinctive flaws like these, then he shall continue justifying it by giving reasons and not remove his prejudices."
"Thank you once more, Strategist Zhuo Yi-Fan! We've always hated your unusable teachnings, yet they're the ones that improve our life the most", says the Elder with slight gratitude, not even realizing that the Young Strategist basically read his mind"
"Wait did you just read my min—"
Zhuo Fan interrupted once again in his usual fashion, "Wait, you made me lose my focus twice! Forget about the arms already! Hands may be needed for fighting and all but it is just an accessory compared to the basic life functions. One does not require his arms to do CPR to circulate blood."
Head Zhu nodded. He learnt about these in the mandatory 'classes' that Zhuo Fan had him take.
Zhuo Fan continued in his flow- "The sides of his lungs have been cut. The alveoli are notorious to keep and keep on bleeding. I have sealed them off but even breathing for him would still be a challenge, for a cultivator who routinely exhausts himself, this reduced efficiency will pronounce death.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
"Hence, we need donor lungs, rather than arms."
"And I believe you have an idea of how to procure them that had something to do with him being a half-dragon?", Head Zhu finished his sentence.
Anyone from outside would not understand who said what; Obviously ignoring the difference in voice and pitch, their tone and sarcasm grew to be in sync during the 2 months they were together.
Zhuo Fan nodded and pulled down his mask, he knew he was going to yap on this for a while, "When I first heard about Cultivation here, one fact got stuck with me. I understand miracles and curses being performed by cultivation, as those were the properties of Qi. Yet I couldn't understand how something almost as fundamental as physics, performing a wide range of actions, interfere in biology—extend your lifespan and remove diseases and that too in only such a small snipet of biology.
I used the money stolen from my Lin Clan to buy Body tempering books in bulk, only to find out nothing about this in particular. After I exhausted the tributes from the towns and villages that joined this Mortal Alliance by buying just a 3-grads book for Golden Core realm cultivators and above, I understood everything, including the extremely potent properties of Divine sense as well."
Head Zhu replied with playful scorn- "What epiphany did bankrupting the Alliance for a low-grade book noone of our people can use give you?"
"I understood that one can follow such techniques and modify his immune system—either discarding or leaving the old one in shadows by depending on the preciseness of Divine sense to semi-manually fight diseases. Utilizing divine sense on individual cells is mental-computationally impossible but one can use it to differentiate his cells and something else with 0 computational stress, hence this method works by using the default biological mechanisms of processing and computing diseases but replacing or substituting or adding on to the executing methods. Basically identitying diseases the same way, yet exterminating them differently using direct Qi. But these also have the same 'disadvantages'(Who'd try to swap arms in the first place?) of the body attacking donor organs and it's own Immunity technique(Where the higher grade and quality one usually wins, though much after killing the Frankenstein)." Zhuo Fan replied.
"But doesn't this differ from technique to technique?" enquired Head Zhu.
"Yes! But only the executing methods. This means if the people are following the same techniques, then we can swap limbs and organs with no adverse effects as long as the biological methods are sealed and we can relatively easily decellularize and recellularize the organs and restart the biological methods again!", said Zhuo Fan loudly, trying to put a little bit more emphasis on this para in particular as it was his first ever mystery in this world.
[Afterall I thought I would never need to learn anything after learning all of Earth's Maths and Science during my 6 years stuck in the mysterious sealed realm, not that I desire, mysteries.]
Head Zhu interrupts Zhuo Fan's nostalgic recollections, "And since Divine Spirit Clans work also like a Sect at the same time, it is obvious that all their members will have the same techniques. I am sure even experts generations apart will use the same ol' basic techniques and attacks as the Divine Spirits did not contribute much in the ."
Zhuo Fan started walking, Head Zhu also followed him without question.
[This was just the first element that fell, we still have Black demonic dragon that he was supposedly fighting so obviously we are moving towards there]
Zhuo Fan just smiles in appreciation of Head Zhu's quick understanding and
Critical Thinking.
What realm do you think comes after Nascent Soul?(Don't worry, I am not using you guys for free ideas & advice).
