A sharp whoosh tore through the air.
Aiden’s eyes snapped open just as a bde stopped an inch from his face.
"What the—?!" He barely had time to react before instinct took over. He rolled to the side, only to sm his head into the wall with a loud thud.
Groaning, he clutched his head, vision spinning. His heart was still racing from the near-death experience.
Standing beside his bed, holding a glowing sword of energy, was Leon—looking far too amused.
“Good morning,” Leon said cheerfully.
Aiden gred at him. “Are you insane? You nearly killed me!”
Leon twirled the sword before letting it dissolve into thin air. “If I wanted to kill you, you’d be dead.”
“…That doesn’t make me feel better.”
Leon smirked. “Well, maybe next time, don’t sleep through breakfast.”
Aiden blinked. “Wait… I missed breakfast?”
“You missed a lot of things,” Leon said. “Elise already left on a mission. You have the room to yourself for the next three days.”
Aiden sat up, still rubbing his head. “Elise is on a mission? What kind?”
Leon shrugged. “That’s cssified.”
Aiden frowned. “Should I be worried?”
Leon chuckled. “Not unless you think someone out there can beat her.”
Aiden sighed. “That’s what I was afraid of.”
Leon gave him an unimpressed look. “You’re way too comfortable insulting your roommate.”
“I wouldn’t call it insulting,” Aiden muttered.
Leon just shook his head. “Anyway, get up. We’re heading to the training hall.”
Aiden stretched before standing. “Let me at least change first—”
“Nope. You had your chance. We’re leaving now.”
Aiden looked down at himself. He was still wearing the same clothes from yesterday—dirty, slightly torn, and definitely not fit for training.
“…Fine.” He groaned. “But if I die from embarrassment, I’m bming you.”
Leon just smirked. “I can live with that.”
